R2 deserves to get the last line of the saga.

 

I thought Boss Nas had the last line, "Peace" in TPM and the first line in AOTC is "Senator, we're making our final approach into Coruscant."
Ep 9 1st line I believe will be Poe. Last line Rey or Yoda. Also I was REALLY happy they gave Leia the last line in TLJ and just really happy with how positive and upbeat it ended; it really felt like Star Wars.

 

Haha, I'll admit that I just pulled the lines directly from online SW scripts (all of them except TLJ from IMDSB)!

You've inspired me to rewatch the endings. R2 actually gets the last line in ESB and TPM as well! He and Chewbacca also seem to get lines at the end of ROTJ and TFA. And http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bargwill_Tomder has the last line in TLJ.

For the sake of not being overly precise about it, I'll leave the OP as is!

 

Ah, in these cases I'm willing to update the OP, by the logic that these lines are in the Basic tongue.

I dunno about the first line, but the last line needs to be spoken by C-3PO. Going by release order, he was the first to speak in the Skywalker Saga, so he should be the last. (I tend to prefer to do these things by chronological order but Qui Gon is sorta dead so this is the next best thing).

Insert "It's like poetry, it rhymes" joke here.
