JCC Why does twitter suck so much ?

X, the new sharing, caring social network.... that sets up a strobing light, sticks it on its HQ and projects it onto a residential block, heedless of triggering epilepsy attacks.

And puts the footage online, so that effect can go global.

 

From what I read it got ordered to be taken down. It didn't meet safety building standards and they never got a permit. They also didn't rope off the sidewalk when installing it, which was a violation, and they'll be given a fine.

It's almost like they don't give 2 ****s about anything.

Which will happen first, 1) the name of this thread will get changed to "Why does X suck so much" or 2) Elon stops trying to make X happen?

 

I don't know about the first part, but I really doubt Musk will ever give up on his dream of making "X" a reality.

 

At this point I'd imagine there are more than a few people at both Tesla and SpaceX that are quite happy with how his Twitter acquisition is going. Keep him preoccupied and focused on something other than here. It's a $44B laser pointer that you don't have to pay a dime for.

 

My understanding was that X, as well as Y and Z, were a reality well before Elon Musk arrived on the alphabet scene.

What will happen is most likely the most confusing path possible, just like everything else that's happened thus far. Both X and twitter will be used together. He'll never get rid of that old branding/name.

Well, if this happens, that will be the last straw. The only thing that makes the site tolerable is blocking all the morons and grifters who pay for it.

I've never had an account. Blocked has never worked better.

 

He’s also got all the pathetic blue check grifters (the only people he’ll listen to) whining to him about how they still don’t get any engagement despite all his stupid changes and so the only way forward is to force people to listen to them.

It's a real commentary on how terrible this has all been that "removing the 'block' feature" isn't the stupidest thing he's done so far.

It has its uses, but that's only if you're on the non-political side.

Otherwise, your own political culture's worst traits show up there.
