Sort of a broad question, but one that was running through my head a few minutes ago as I was pricing new computers. Why, you may ask? Well for the first time I was looking at the audio aide of the hardware instead of the video side; I know I have sinned against my gamer roots.

Anyway...I got to wondering what makes Star Wars so open to audio-drama. It seems like audio-drama and Star Wars go hand in hand. SW just seems to naturally fit into the medium. So I thought I would post this and see what everyone else thinks anf gather a few opinions on the subject.

The thematic music and redily identifiable sound effects.

    Just my opinion. :D

I wouldn't say music as much, since I tend to use different music for my stuff, but definitely those easily-recognizable effects. Also, though, I'd say it's a universe that is readily open to many different genres of storytelling. It gives familiarity with plenty of new niches to explore.
