Why wasn't Jacen redeemed?

    Two words: Kyp Durron. It's been done and few people know the story Simple Tricks which is about the only story I know of to really have Kyp seeking atonement.

    Why? I really don't think people are that interested in it or people dislike the concept of rehabilitation that atonement involves. We seem to be a society that is being increasingly harsh on people and demanding a perfection that's beyond us thus the attitude 'screw up once and that's it'.

    Personally, I'd like to see this done but done right. DR's handling of Jaina's dark side trip and its consequences, or lack of, gives me no confidence in their ability in this respect.

    You really, really, really, need to read Betrayal, Ex. If only to understand why he did it. Lumiya convinced him. If you saw RotS, but missed the scene with the Darth Plagueis story, you'd have the same problem.
