I did enjoy it my whole family loved it I've been waiting for that show since the character was introduced I think that's the case with most Fanboys I mean how awesome is Black Krasantan or how ever you spell his name...

And its not the Boba Fett show that fans have been waiting for decades. He had much better stories in the 90's and the 00's. Book of Boba Fett could have been a show that jumps throughout his history and shows us the true bad ass that is Boba Fett. Not the guy who doesn't even show up in two episodes in his own show. Black Krrsantan was cooler in the comics though. Good Costume though, a pity it wasn't in a better show.

Now lets get back to talking about Willow.

Warwick Davis and his daughter Annabelle Smith have been added to SW Celebration. Surprise season two announcement?

If there is going to be an announcement about Willow it will likely be at the first panel on Thursday which is the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase.

I wish this came as a surprise. A show like this... in theory... was tailor fit for me but it was just a mess.

I kind of hoped for a second season; maybe that could have saved it, but... I'm neither happy nor sad about this. I don't particularly care. And I'm about as big a Willow fan as they come.

Yeah not surprising at all. To be honest I am somewhat surprised they didn't just make this a limited series to begin with as there isn't really much of an audience for anything Willow related.

Also although I watched bits and pieces of it I didn't pay real close attention to the details so will there be very many plot threads left hanging or did they wrap most things up that they introduced during the first season?

That little skit when Warwick introduced all the new actors was by far the best part of the series.

It would have worked just fine as a miniseries but they threw in the teaser bit at the end

I'm more surprised that Lucasfilm hasn't tried to adapted one of the old Lucasarts games into a project.

I'm disappointed a lot I liked it. I'm.just as disappointed as when HBO cancelled Lifes Too Short, Warwick can't catch a break with TV shows is it Little People discrimination may be? They cancelled it because no one hardly streamed it not quality people never gave it a chance..

An example I will give is The Orville on Hulu for the longest time it was 4th most watched show on Hulu when season 3 debuted then 8th most watched show now 7th most watched show point is since season ,3 came out it's been a top 10 most watched show on Hulu it's an incredible show out Treking Trek why hasn't it been renewed it's not always about , Quality..

Well Willow isn't a franchise like Star Wars, or Marvel, or an animated film for young kids to watch. They aren't trying to build up a library of content that takes place in the Willow universe. They obviously didn't feel like there was a significant enough of a fan base out there to keep the series going.

If this series had been really popular, they probably would have. This series was probably a straw in the wind to see whether that approach was viable. But it didn't do well enough to justify making more, it seems. So they'll have to find another IP or yet another aspect of SW to develop. (Original content? What's that?)

If you're talking about non-SW properties... LucasArts' most popular non-Star Wars series is arguably the Monkey Island adventure games. And Disney already adapted that into a major movie franchise. They called it Pirates of the Caribbean. :p (Heck, the fourth POTC film was actually a very loose adaptation of Tim Powers' novel On Stranger Tides, a book that Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert had previously singled out as a notable influence on the games.)

Have you read Stranger Tides? About all they kept was the title. And Blackbeard, I guess, but he's a historical figure first and a character in the novel second.

I have, and you're right. It's basically an adaptation in name only. The only thing besides Blackbeard they kept from the novel is the general idea of the Fountain of Youth (and not even any of the details of how it worked in Powers' novel).

If you are generation X and grew up in the 80s and 90s basically a little kid in the 80s like me I was born in 1981 and if you saw Return Of The Jedi and loved Wicket The Ewok and Warwick Davis you most likely loved Willow! I don't think Bob Iger and Disney really know what the fans want.. hardly any Muppets content, no Orville Renewal yet. And no Star Wars Theatrical films in years they think most Star Wars fans didn't like The Disney produced Star Wars films and IMHO that's just not true most fans loved theses Disney Star Wars films a loud minority of fans didn't care for them IMHO and it bothers me all the directors there hiring then firing there burning bridges so to speak in Hollywood ...

How dare you omit the Leprechaun series. It is his defining body of work.

Leprechaun In The Hood made him a household name.

The show was cool, really good visually, I'm not that invested in that universe and some times I had no idea what they were discussing but overall it was pretty enjoyable watch.. so not sure why so many people hated it and called it terrible.. o_O

I liked it, too bad. A fun, light-hearted fantasy adventure series that wasn't connected to a bunch of other shared universe projects worked for me.
