I know that there is choral in many parts of the tracks for Revenge of the Sith, but what are they singing? And what language. I know that there must be some real lines, because there is for "Duel of the Fates". The track that made me think of this specificly was "Anakin's Dark Deeds". Does anyone know what this is?

    GK edit: Clarified title.

Like "Duel of the Fates," the choral music in Sith is written in Sanskrit, an ancient language.

That does make sense. I think it would be twice as cool though if it were in Huttese or Mando'a.

Such incredibly haunting music. The orchestrations are ugly in Sith, though.

I believe the general meaning of what's being sung in "Anakin's Dark Deeds" is "grievous are the crimes of the Empire".

I've unlocked and upped the Sanskrit thread here.

p.s. There's discussion of the funeral lyrics in there as well.

I really, really loved the low brass segment that plays right before the instrumental version of the funeral theme during Padme's funeral. It's very haunting.

That track makes me cry everytime I watch that scene. It's the images and music combined, each time it gets me.
