I've got a free period next semester that I'm thinking of taking a filmmaking class for... My friend and I love Moulin Rouge and Star Wars and were thinking of doing Star Wars: Episode VII.V: The Musical: Pivitol(sp?) Scenes Put To Song.
When it gets closer to school time I'll post this again, but...
*gets down on knees to beg* Could I please please please pretty please with sugar and a cherry and ice cream and chocolate and a nuna on top have permission to use some of these filks and ideas for the musical? Please?????

In case anyone's wondering... in "Lady Amidala" the 'Dugan duca...' part is Ewok chanting and the word 'go' in Ewok. The 'Hata hata opadda' is Gungan for 'oh my goodness, a fire!'. And 'Iyo waza goniteezex, yesso' is Bocce for 'I am a systems consultant, yes', all of it courtesy of the Star Wars Galactic Phrase Book and Travel Guide.

I think it's obvious that Anakin did see Obi-Wan in Moulin Rogue. The only difference between Anakin coming on to Amidala, and Christian coming on to Satine, is the singing. They're both so-called love stories that expect the audience to take their word for it, all because the man uses some really bad lines. McGregor's lines sound good when they were actually part of their original songs, not the messy hodge-podge that Luhrman threw together, which is less a song than a "spot the reference" game, where the filmmakers think they're being terribly clever by basing all the dialogue on pop song lyrics.
