i want a place where pleople talk about the X-wing series, this series has to be by far my favorite, i was just wondering who had the same thoughts and i would like to just talk about the books with them

 

*applauds* Finally someone decided to create a fan club about the entire series instead of specific characters or just Rogue Squadron. I'll join.

Are we doing Squadrons, by order of joining?

Jedi-Knight-Corran can be Rogue or Wraith Lead, whichever he prefers. Binks gets the other lead, ThrawnRocks gets XO for one squad, and I get XO for the second.

Favorites: Wedge's Gamble and Starfighters of Adumar.

Honestly, I don't care which squadron I'm in. It looks like they both have a little too much testosterone at this point . Someone just pick a squad and a number for me. I'm far too indecisive.

Just an idea- maybe someone should write up a roster for each squadron so anyone else who wants to join who's who and what places have already been taken.

SFoA is my favorite of the books.

 

Just FYI, the term "Rogue One" and "Rogue Leader" are the same, unless a normal twelve fighter squadron has a temporary member for a mission.

For example, In SotE, when Luke meets up with Rigue Squad again, he temporarily becomes Rogue Leader while Wedge becomes Rogue One.

In the X-wing series of books, a squadron is numbered as follows: Red Leader, Red One, Red Two... and so on.

leader/1 can be the same, or 2 differnt pple, depending on the squad, while the XO is always a non number.

Thats the way I interpet it anyway.

Once every other spot is taken, sure. But it's confusing and unnecessary before then.

Honestly, I don't really care either way. When more people join we'll probably have to make both Leader and XO non-number pilots, so I vote that they start off that way from the beginning.

My real question is, what exactly are we going to have the leader, XO, flight leaders (if we have them), and regular pilots do? In short: What is our purpose? Are we just going to discuss the books, or are we going to have competitions of some sort between the two squadrons (I totally vote for the second option). I think we need to figure all of this out before we make any more number assignments, go back and reassign the people who have already joined for the job/responsibility they want to handle, and then fill in what we need.
