I keep forgetting that's actually a thing that is actually happening, and happening so soon. Admittedly, a combination of the comics never clicking with me, and the missteps of the previous films has left it difficult for me to get as hyped about it as the other MCU films (especially with Thunderbolts almost right in front of it). So maybe that's why it keeps flying underneath my radar. That said, it did give me chills to see the logo form at the end of that epic "welcome back to the movies" montage Marvel dropped around the time Black Widow came out.

I'll edit that release date in. So, only 3 months of no Marvel content drops! And they finally posted it on YT:

I'm looking forward to What If. Knowing nothing about Wonder Man, it looks like it might be fun. The rest of the slate, meh.

How much longer are we going to have to wait for the Captain America?

Daredevil Born Again & Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man for me. So excited that my favorite DD creators have a character in the upcoming show too.

They still need to release the D23 / NYCC trailer for DDBA yesterday though.

Oh and Deadpool & Wolverine because I still haven't seen it dammit.

Lupita Nyong'o's halloween costume may indicate she wants a new role in the MCU:

Lot of little news bits and rumors (not counting Spider-Man 4)that I'll keep in this thread for now until some are confirmed:

-Fantastic Four: First Steps may have a title change to Fantastic Four: First Contact, a nod by Star Trek fans Shakman and Feige.
-Blade's script has supposedly met Ali's approval and they are now looking for a director. It is expected to be the next movie to shoot (not counting Spider-Man 4) and take the Nov 2026 slot, which would make it the final film in the Multiverse Saga before Secret Wars.
-The Feb 13th 2026 slot may be abandoned as no other projects seem to be far enough along to assume it.
-On the TV side, 2026 is expected to deliver Daredevil Season 2 and VisionQuest.
-The Agatha-spin-off Wiccan and Hawkeye Season 2 are expected to take up the late-2026 and early-2027 TV slots (though unknown which would go where- particularly since the predecessors to both were tied to late-year holiday seasons).
-The Nova and Blonde Phantom shows will be post-Secret Wars series.

It was first rumored to be in development about 6 months ago. A 1950's Vegas-set spy series with the titular vigilante. Rumored to be the role Feige may want for Taylor Swift.

I'm assuming you meant two separate shows, Wiccan and another season of Hawkeye. But I would totally watch a Wiccan and Hawkeye show

I mean, Clint looked after Wanda, so that would make for an interesting combination with her son. And since Clint seems to be in the business of young proteges...

I really wish they'd quit trying to make Young Avengers a thing. Kate should just be the new Hawkeye in the regular Avengers, Kamala should definitely be a regular Avenger, and the others can just stay sidekicks for whomever they want to team them up with.

The MCU needs a next gen of Avengers, though. They can't multiverse-return everybody after the Secret Wars reset. Unlike the comics, the MCU is uniquely positioned to let characters age and for new ones to assume mantles. Kate, Cassie, and Kamala make for a pretty good anchor trio, though. And then you can eventually pepper in Wiccan and T'challa Jr. And if you can get a more adult Peter Parker later, even better. Its ultimate asset is its ability to not reboot everything and everyone, unlike Batman, etc.

If they wanted to play their cards right, they'd invest more in the young crowd. Most teens and folks in their twenties aren't going to watch Disney Plus unless there are a lot of shows with people their own age. Same with the movies. They've got something good with this new generation because most of these characters are likable, but they have to move fast or they'll all be too old.

The problem is getting the audience invested in the new characters, especially if a lot of them don't watch the TV shows. Also, they need to be unique enough to not just be seen as gender-swapped rip-offs of other characters. She-Hulk, Kate Bishop & Yelena have that problem, they are basically the same as the previous characters they're replacing just not as popular.
Ironheart is just Iron Man but way less cool, I don't see a lot of the audience buying into that when they'd rather see Tony Stark or a whole new character with different abilities.

It's really a case by case basis. Kate may have the same moveset as Clint, but she's an entirely different personality. Same with Jen vs Bruce, Cassie vs Scott, etc. But Yelena less so.The Ironheart series has a lot of heavy lifting to do, since she was mostly a side character in BP2 and didn't really get a chance to distinguish herself yet (beyond being a very popular Marvel SNAP card ;)).

And I don't think the TV show aspect is going to matter, especially given how anchored the MCU has become to Disney+ over the past few years (more of a problem that they can hopefully exploit in a couple years). As we get closer Doomsdays/Secret Wars, the wider public will start their marathon catch-ups the same way they did for IW/EG (especially for the 2nd and 3rd tier characters whose films people may have skipped even if they had watched others), though to what extent remains to be seen.

And as those marathons happen now, in combination with the kids and adults who watched them as they came out, they will likely form the basis for them getting invested (again). Or at least that's what I would assume the plan is in attempts to recapture the Endgame phenomenon and success.

I'm good with Daredevil and the vigilante side of the MCU - if that means spidey 4 and the Devil's Reign event okay (and Xu Ling - is her 10 Rings project still even active?), more with the Hawkeyes (Yes, Clint and Kate) etc.

I'm there for Thunderbolts* and Captain America Brave New World both look very good (esp. TBolts*.) Also, the Fantastic 4.

Oh and a Midnight Sons movie with Wesley, the Benedicts, Oscar and whomever else they want to add. Hey if you want to add Elektra and Gambit, sure thing. Just give me more Westey and Channing please.

If Downey can convince me he's Doom (and in rl maybe share some of that $90 million dollars with crew etc.) then fine, whatever. I am really not interested in the Avengers movies.

Unreliable narrator and all, but I thought this was interesting in this deleted scene from Deadpool and Wolverine that Mr Paradox explicitly states that "the only Universe consider the true universe exists on the Sacred Timeline". I know when watching s1 Loki I was getting my alternate timelines, pruned timelines and Sacred Timelines confused. Anyway the meta reference that Deadpool's Fox universe is irrelevant and the Disney owned MCU is the only "real' universe fits well.

"Doctor Ant in the Quantumverse of Madness!"
