I was going to choose people from the movies forums, Lit and LACWAC, but I knew they'd never get nominated by anyone else, so I mostly went with people I thought had an actual chance of winning.

One thing might be the way you quoted the entire nominations post instead of just the tiny section that you were actually going to address. That kind of thing. Those things add up.
