MONDAY DECEMBER 2nd Discussing "Black Fleet Crisis" Author: Micheal P. Kube-McDowell That concludes the reading list for 2013. "THANK YOU MY JAMMIES"!! Thanks guys and ... THE FORCE BE WITH US!!
Thanks Zannah! Looking at the dates and my calandar the only one I would recommend we change is Friday Oct 4...that's opening night for ROTS 3-D and I think that will be a big outing for us. Maybe the Monday after? (and I think you need to edit your header in the post to change it to 2013 )
We will be reading Star Wars: Crucible by Troy Denning on August. And seeing how he is 11's boyfriend, I hope she shows up and gives her two credits on the book. As for the others, keep voting! And thanks! -Jammies
Got my next schedule at work and looks like I'll be there Feb 1st for the Scoundrels discussion (I know everyone was worried ). For the record I will NOT be dressing up like Han Solo but I will wear one of my many Han T-shirts.
Yay Mika will be there with us!! That is very good news indeed! And nope my Jammies, that would not be us neither. Did that last statement of mine make any sense?
It sure did Zannah, don't worry-- I speak Yoda. Yeah, I don't live in Jeff county so I can't check out the Star Wars AudioBooks they have; and you all know how much I love audiobooks! So, if anyone is a member, hook a brotha up. And Yay Mika! So, Mika-- you had asked if Zahn could write a heist book better than Allston's Mercy Kill. I expect your thoughts on the answer. Should be a good discussion.
Scoundrels on Audiobook http://pac.lfpl.org/polaris/search/...rt=RELEVANCE&limit=TOM=*&query=&page=0#__pos2 It is checked out now, but one can place a request for it. You my Nerfherder!
I know...someone keeps buying up the Star Wars miniatures game at my comic shop. We know they're out there somewhere.
I know lets set a trap and see if we can find out who it is. I nominate General Ackbar as the head of task force "ti's a trap" to find these villainous scum who keep getting Mika's miniatures. I just hope he doesn't recruit to many bothans for this quest.
I just finished "Scoundrels" and I have some strong opinions so be warned I won't be holding back on the spoilers during the discussion (especially the last page) so if you haven't read it GitRDone
I've already made a page of notes Yeah I've got a rant or two I'm working up to. It's my life day and I'll rant if I want to
Standing with back to a corner looking around and waiting for the big "BOOM" when the Ranting starts!! While thinking to myself the mynochs are going to hit the fan now..
Some book news... -Joe "Death Troopers" Schreiber is working on a new Darth Maul book due late 2013 http://io9.com/5978549/the-guy-who-...rs-universe-is-sending-darth-maul-behind-bars -The latest Star Wars Insider Magazine has a nice feature article on Brian Daley -Barnes and Noble has a long term plan to start closing lots of it's Brick and Mortar stores. http://consumerist.com/2013/01/28/b...ose-a-third-of-its-stores-over-next-10-years/
Looking forward to Friday, as always-- but sadly I'm going to have to keep my appearance short. Have to drive out of town for family reasons. Really interested to hear what others thought of the book, so I won't prepare any detailed notes or anything. -Jammies
We're gonna miss you. I hope everything's ok. Oh boy, I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say too.
