How was Menzell's performance of "Let it Go"? I've seen some raves, but a few sources say she oversang it.

As for the Travolta mispronunciation, how did anyone even know how to spell what he said? It was completely unintelligible.

Apparently the Oscars are run just as fake as the JCC Awards

"All the same, two Oscar voters privately admitted that they didn't see '12 Years a Slave,' thinking it would be upsetting. But they said they voted for it anyway because, given the film's social relevance, they felt obligated to do so."

 

I swear I did not vote for any JCCers because of their relevance.

 

Can't necessarily say I'm surprised given some of the films that have won in the past.

Of course she oversang it. She's a Broadway performer.

 

I finally saw it a few days later, I thought she sang it quite well generally (except for the flourish on the final line) but the orchestra was too loud.
