Pittsburgh, PA Agenda for the July meeting and schedule of events.

Since we are trying to get organized I'm creating this thread to get an agenda going and ready for the next meeting. Here's what I have so far.

July Meeting:
Where: Border's Books in Monroeville
When: Sunday, July 28th
Time: 1 P.M.

- Leadership Council: We are ironing ou the specifics here on the boards but hopefully by the next meeting we will have a definate answer set in stone. EDIT: The Council has been decided upon and will be made public then.

- Advertising: The costs, where to do it, what media. Take a possible collection for an ad for the press..

- T-shirts Designs: Dan and I are working on this as of right now and will bring sample printouts to the meeting for everyone to see.

- Website Content: I am in the process of adding new content to the site. Dan(BDP) has been granted rights to post news articles. The website grapihcs will be given a face lift sometime in the next couple of weeks.

- Padawans: How things should be setup, etc..

- FanForce Picnic: The picnic is going to take place at South Park on Sunday, August 11th. If you plan on attending please bring $5.00 to the meeting. I will be buying food in advance.

Please feel free to comment or make suggestions. I'm working on an events calendar for July and august to add to the website. If there is an event you would like to have let me know so I can start pluggin it. Also I forgot to add that I'm getting some stuff for this months newsletter, if yo uhave anything to ad PM me.

Where: Barnes and Noble Books at the Point in Robinson Towne Center
When: Sunday, July 21th
Time: noon

July Meeting:
Where: Border's Books in Monroeville
When: Sunday, July 28th

Here's something for the agenda under 'activities' and 'costumes'

there's a Renaisance Fair every year in Aug and early Sept. I've gone the past couple of years and its lots of fun (performers, jousts, games, many neat things for sale)

I thought it would be a fun outing for the fanforce to go to it in SW costume -- Jedi Knights (and sith, imperials, etc) meet Medivel Knights.

I bring it up now because those that are still making costumes or don't yet have them could have a change to get them together.

Anyone interested???

 

Will anyone be going out to eat after the next meeting like last time? One can only sit in a single spot for so long without requiring food, or at least, this one.

Chuck-E-Cheese... we should just have the meeting there lol. then we could play in all the tubes and stuff! we could pretend we are on the death star and we need to save princess leia! (except i don't think i fit in the tubes)

 

might not be a bad idea to change the meeting place to chuck e cheese. I'll call them when I get home.

Yeah, it's near the Monroeville Mall, across from the Value City furniture and Kings Garden.

Just a thought...

I'd like to get all "geeked" out and wear my costume for this meeting. Since we're going to institute the Jedi Council, I think it would be neat. Yeah we'll get strange looks, but hey you only live once. How about it? Anybody else with me on getting into "character"?

 

I might, although I'd change @ borders. I don't need every bus driver in Pittsburgh looking at me and asking isn't halloween over.. LOL. ^_^ Would anyone else?
