Anakins: Solo was killed to clear a path for Skywalker

    Anakin Solo dies in Star by Star. Everyone already knows this so I dont think I still have to call it a spoiler. Anyway, I think part of the reason the decision was made to kill Anakin Solo was LFL or Del Ray wanted to reduce confusion with Anakin Skywalker because of his growing importance in the EU as well as Star Wars in general. I myself have spent some time explaining the difference between the two characters to people new to EU books. LFL might think that there being only one Anakin in EU books will make it less confusing.
