Are the Star Cases worth it?

I have seen the star cases on many different web sites and at $2 a pop, are they worth it? Does anyone have these, and if so how are they?

I use them for some of my rare and autographed figures. They are also good when you want to hang them.

 

they're very nice. If you went to C3 you could get a C3 star case which is really nice for the figures I got autographed there.

 

I thinkt they're worth it. Mostly just for rare figure though. I bought one for Jorg Sucal,and it was well worth it.

 

Well the target exclusive 5 pack star cases for ROTS figures will be worth having as they have cancelled them due to bad design and other issues and they have been destroyed so these will be a collectable.

 

Maybe I also might get myself a few star cases.
are they for unopened figures?

 

I have all my figures in Star cases except for my ROTS. I'm waiting
to see how many I end up with before I buy any. Myself, I love them.

From a money standpoint it doesn't make sense to spend $2-3 to protect
a $6 figure, but I do it because I plan to keep these forever and
want them to protect them. They've already saved my Silver Clonetrooper
when I had it on the floor to move some stuff around and stepped on it.
I pulled back in time, where as before I would have crushed the bubble.

 

They have special "tube" looking things for opened figures, it reminds me of something oregeno would come in. They are cool but they look small and look like they may only house vintage and POTF2 figures and not bigger figures like Luminara from the AOTC line because of heavy cloakage.

I have Star cases for my rare figs: Lava Vader, Holo Yoda, Anakin and Palpy variants.

You shouldn't really hang figures without star cases though, they mess the card up.
