Buff, NY Buffalo Bisons PIRATE NIGHT - Sat July 26

UPDATE 6/11/2014
Some of the filming will take place during an earlier game, so the mascots and pirates and chase through the crowds. Filming will likely take a few days and not all pirates are needed for all filmings.
Once again there will be 2 competing crews - Janice as Captain Aranea Corryn, The Blacque Wydow, and Bryan as Captain Joe Kaiger (ask him what it means). For plot reasons, Steve Lukasik and Karen will be on Bryan's team.
Start thinking about the end of early very early July, nights, Saturdays and Sunday and when you are and aren't available.

UPDATE 6/23/2014:

A completed draft of the script has been sent to Anthony. I'm beginning to work on a schedule for filming, trying to spread it out a little because there is a LOT of running around and that can get uncomfortable on hot days in pirate gear.

Also, I have 2 more wooden swords in need of a pain job.

As soon as we have approval, I'll post the script to google docs, unless there is a more preferred way of dissemination.

Saturday Night, JULY 26 is the Bison's PIRATE NIGHT.
As was done last year, there will be filmed segments leading up to a post-game melee.
This year, we would like to have a little dueling on field.
As of now it's structured to be 5-7 very short (15-20 second) fights between competing pirate bands trying to separate the mascots from their heads and treasure chests.
An outline of the filmed segments has been accepted.
Still nailing down a title. Surprisingly, they shied away from DEAD MASCOTS CHEST.

The script for the filmed bits is being refined, almost finished.
Will be meeting with Anthony to discuss some new developments.

Love the working title!

I've set the game day aside to participate in this year. I'd like to duel but I don't have a stage pirate sword and I'll need work to get a better costume together. I'd like to be in the films but it will depend on the day and time.

 

16 bats on the dugout chest?

As of right now I am off and can be available for whatever you need me for. I will need some costume help.

 

We have some wooden swords acquired from SWORDS OF MIGHT that need to be painted, if anyone is talented in that arena.
Bill and Gil - we have lots of costume pieces (shirts, pants, coats, sashes, etc), so please arrange to come over and browse the closets.

 

I plan on being there and will be glad to paint up some swords

 

I am in for all activities. You know what I need. I won't be doing any falling, jumping, twirling or walking the plank.

I will need 3 weeks lead time to request off for filming date.

I actually will have a group of people from work attending this. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend, myself, but I know you'll have some fans. We had a group of 60 go last year, and they had a blast.

Dan and I are planning to be there. We are not sure for dueling. Depends on the schedule. We have costumes started.

 

Jim and I will be participants. Jim May need to raid the costume chest. We may have two more pirates. Hoping Jim's sons decide to join us.
