    If I had to pick, I guess I'd say cake, but I love pie, too. Especially, with big scoop of vanilla ice cream.

    I like pie, all kinds of pie. Meringues, creams, fruits, hell even meat pies are good.

    On the Liquid Smoke episode of Food Detectives (which airs in reruns on the Food Network), the host (Ted Allen) explains where the red comes from in Red Velvet Cake. Red food coloring comes from a beetle, that when crushed and mixed with water gives off a blood red color.

    Red Velvet Cake = Watered down beetle innards. Not even kidding.
