Can I skip Conquest?

I have just finished BP and I hear that Conquest is mainly about JJK. I havent read them nor do they intrest me so could I give conquest a miss?

 

Don't skip Conquest. It proides valuable insight into the Vong. Anakin also makes some important discoveries about the Vong and the Force.

Its not about JJK. It just has a few characters from it. So, SbS has been comfermed to have a few YJK characters... have you read the YJK series? If not, is that going to keep you from reading whats been called the most important and exciting NJO book yet?

Conquest is vital to the character development of Anakin Solo. It also shows us how badly the NR and the Jedi have been hit. I would strongly advise against skipping it.

 

Conquest is great. Do not skip it.

 

And Conquest and Rebirth tie in greatly with Star by Star. Mr. Keyes wrote Rebirth after being able to read SbS. So, these 3 books should be more connected and exciting than some past ones.

 

You shouldn't skip Conquest unless you want to be totally lost in SbS and Rebirth if you read those two or any of the other NJO.

 

I'd say don't skip Conquest, but only because I think that the character developement of Anakin is vital for SbS.


Balance Point was far better. After all, it starred Jacen instead of Anakin

 

JJK and YJK are available in the UK. If you can't find them try Amazon.co.uk, they have most of YJK and all JJK (although you have to search for them by individual title).

Better than you would expect?!

Keyes is a great author. All his books have been bestsellers. And he only has a few, compared to some other talents writing for this series.

 

Do not skip conquest! It is my favorite NJO book besides Vector Prime, and i think it is definitely a good read.

 

yes, wedge, better than you would expect i never read the JJK series and wasn't looking forward to focusing so closely on those characters. my coment dealt with the content of the book, not the author's style.

Rubbish! As Emiaj says, they are all available on Amazon.co.uk. That's where I got them all from.

 

Conquest is my favorite part of the series so far (I haven't gotten around to Rebirth yet, which looks good), and I'd strongly recommend reading it for the great character developement of Anakin.

 

If you have to skip something, skip Rebirth.
