Beyond - Legends Can't Hide Beautiful - J/J songfic

AN: Ok, this happens to be one of my favorite songs ever and I was listening to it one day and realized that it would be perfect as a Jag/Jaina songfic. Please bear in mind this is my first songfic so be kind. This is mostly a piece of fluff about Jag?s thoughts after his and Jaina?s first wedding anniversary.

She's afraid that I might see,

Those five extra pounds she talks about.

Man, I don't know what she's talking about.





He was the happiest man in the world. He had a great job that he loved, an awesome family, and best of all he had her. She was the best thing that had ever happened to him.

She completely threw herself into her work and any training failures she took to heart.





I wish she wasn't so hard on herself.

Then she falls asleep with just my T-shirt on,

An' even when her hair's messed up and her make-up's gone,





He looked down at her, all curled up in his arms. She was wearing nothing but an old t-shirt of his and her hair was disheveled. Even still she was the prettiest thing he?d ever seen. The best thing was that he didn?t have to share these moments with her with anyone else, they were his and his alone.





You can't hide beautiful.

You can't hide wonderful.

There's nothing that she has to do,

It just comes natural.

She makes it look easy.

I love what she does to me.

No way to disguise,

The way that she shines.

Yesterday had been their first wedding anniversary; they had gone to this surprise party thrown by the Twin Suns and the Rogues. All their friends and most of their family had been there, celebrating with them. And Jaina had worn this one dress?..





She can take a simple dress,

Put it on and turn some heads.

Man, every time she moves she gets me:

She doesn't even know she's sexy.





?..it was one of the best days in his life, the party was great, but what really made the occasion stand out was the private celebration after the party. He grinned as he remembered snatches of some of the conversations that they had had afterwards.



And the way she thinks sometimes,

Out of nowhere, she blows my mind.

She makes me laugh and makes me dream.

I love the way she looks at things.

A little piece of heaven the Force gave to this world.

She might think she's just an ordinary girl,





Man, he loved her. The thing that he loved the most about her was all of the little things that she did without even thinking about it. That she was as equally beautiful climbing out of an X-Wing after a hard space battle as she was when they went out to formal dinners and the like. She just couldn?t help it.





You can't hide beautiful.

You can't hide wonderful.

There's nothing that she has to do,

It just comes natural.





And the way she made it look so easy, so effortless, it amazed him to no end. Jacen even commented on the way that Jaina just seemed to glow with this inner shine.

?Yep, you can?t hide beautiful, not at all? was his last conscious thought before with his arm drawing his wife closer, drifting back to sleep.
