Wash, DC Christmas Party Musings

Okay, maybe I'm just being self centered, here, considering I can't take any more Saturdays off, but what does everyone think about having the GS X-mas party at the New Year's party? We can still do the Secret Santa steal-the-gift thingy. It's a week late, but since NYE seems to be the event everyone's going to make, it might be fun to double it up. I realize we have a few weeks to think about it, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

 

Well I was definitely hoping for a Christmas party of some sort. The steal the gift thing was so damn funny last year. We haven't made a decision about NYE yet, but I think it's fine to combine them....

 

Since I'm planning to come out for the NYE party anyway at this time, I would love to be able to do both at the same time this year.

 

Sounds fine to me. I was getting concerned about it and was going to bring it up at the meeting this weekend, and still might. I couldn't host the Xmas party this year and it was getting kind of close.

Ok, so I vote a NYE Xmas Holiday combo party as well!

 

Considering how quickly my Saturdays fill up these days (what with having Young Wards) I bet the first Saturday I could make it would be NYE anyhow....

Question, do the gifts for the gift exchange have to be S.W. themed or of any sci-fi theme?

 

Last year it was anything you wanted. There were a few SW gifts and a few non SW gifts. I thought it was a good mix.

 

I vote for a combo event too! Of course I am biased since I can't make it down to DC before Dec 29th ANYWAY....stupid retail jobs

 

A combo event sounds pretty cool, actually.
