So CO Collectors Anonymous (Collection Pics Added 6-8-05)

I admit it. I've become a collector. I've avoided this my whole life. I never collected anything. Now I'm hooked.

I've probably spent $4-600 on SW toys in the past month. Now, that doesn't really make me a collector per se. Stupid maybe, but not a collector.

But I'm hooked on the Walmart Exclusive Titanium ship miniatures. The first ones came out in January and I hadn't a clue! So, I ended up spending HOURS in Walmarts and having family look in other towns for the first four ships. I then spent HOURS on eBay and the Net looking for them. And once I found out how the prices were skyrocketing I did the smartest thing I could think of. I bought two of each! Some orders ran out of stock, etc, etc, etc... So I ended up with THREE of the most elusive of the ships: The X-Wing! 9 ships (3 X's, 2 Tie's, 2 Slave 1's, and 2 Falcons), almost $200! Then there were the other 8 ships that I had to go back to Walmart and get another set of! All total, I've bought 27 ships so far including the two extra I bought to play with at my desk at work. Can't wait for the next wave to come out!

Other than that I've picked up:

• 4 Unleashed figures (2 Aayla Secura's, Obi & Ani fighting, and Greivous (uber cool))


• Greivous' Wheel Bike (which, by the way, is BACKWARDS from the film!)


• Obi's Starfighter


• Droid Tri-Fighter


• Holo Yoda figure


• Role Playing game and two expansion packs


• ROTS novel


• the Making of ROTS book (not reading either until AFTER the movie)


• SIX other paperback SW novels (so I won't read the ROTS novel yet!)


• 12" Greivous (had to have someone in Lamar find this guy for me)


• ROTS Calendar


• Numerous 3" figures (two for me, the rest for the kids to play with)


• A couple of the Galactic Heroes figures that my wife wanted.

And I would guess I'm forgetting something...

I just went and bought Obi-Wan EP II and Mace Windu .45 scale lightsabers off eBay!!!

Well, I'm going to give in. If anyone has a source for a Master Replicas Obi-Wan EP I or EP II saber or a Mace Windu saber (not the scaled ones, the full size ones, and yes I know they'll be very pricey) then please let me know.

If you are hurting for cash and are willing to part with something of the sort, let me know. We're talking big bucks here.

I am not much of a collector. always wanted to be, just never had the funding. I have the book relese cut outs from AOTC

Gave in and picked up Mace's ATOC MR saber hilt. Payed a pretty penny for it. Can't wait to see it on my shelf at home though!

Now to find Obi's ATOC or TPM MR saber...

Yes there is a Sidious saber at MR. It's quite different than any other saber. It's only $350 and I'm certainly tempted.

And yes, I'm slightly crazy.

Yes the design on it looks much more intriquite (spell check) and is it less expensive then the others? Im to lazy to check the MR site so ill wait for someone else to post on here. hehe...

No, most of the MR sabers are $350 when they come out. It's once the limited number of them are snapped up that the dollar figure goes up.

Well, got my .45 scale Mace Windu saber today. Sweet!

My wife got me a Target gift card. Man those are very cool! Light up and make the saber sound and you hear Vader breathing. The gift card was a gift in and of itself!

Can't understand people who place bids days before an auction ends. I don't post my bid until 5-6 minutes before the ending and then I refresh the screen every 5 seconds from then on in... But I'm obsessive that way.

IB, you gotta find me that other saber. I'm not buying for investment or to re-sell. I want it because I love that saber. See what you can find. I just can't pay that much for that saber.

Granted, that one on eBay was still in the original SHIPPING box from MR. And was numbered within 60 of the end of the run (the number matters to some collectors). But still, 930!

i met the guy who owns MR today. we just talked for a sec while iw was at the FF table looking for ppl. they are supposed to have a little gathering tonight.
