Computer animated Star Wars TV show....... why Clone Wars?

The Clone Wars 3D Animated Series Series is coming out in Fall 2007 and the films are being converted to 3D format starting in 2007 I think not 3D Animation.

You are going to be able to see alll the Star Wars movies in 3D like with 3D glasses not 3D Animation.

 

oh okay, but what I asked was if the CG version of the Clone Wars will include key characters like Anakin, ObiWan and Yoda?

Yes the Clone Wars 3D Animated Series coming out in Fall 2007 is probably going to include all the key characters.

 

Ok cool. And when they say "computer animated" Do they mean like "realistic CG" or like "cartoon CG" like in the MTV Spiderman Series?

It's going to be a "melding of Asian Anime and a unique 3D Animation style" according to Steve Sansweet head of Fan Relatiuons at Lucasfilms think along the lines of the Final Fantasy cutscenes and movies. GL also said it's going to have some Anime in it. If it looks as good as Final Fantasy VII:Advent Children I would not be dissapointed.

Yes I hope it looks as good as this or even better.

 

I don't mind that the animated show is going to be about the Clone Wars, but I definately would have liked to have seen it be about either the Great Sith War or the Mandalorian War (seeing Jango's begginings on the screen and not just in comic form would have been great!!!).

 

Yes I also would have preferred if it was set in a different era but I'm just fine with the Clone Wars.

 

I don't mind the Clone War Era either, but it would be cool to see a 3d animated Luke Leia and Han for episodes after ROTJ. If done right it could be cool thus keeping the characters timeless!

I agree that would be a very good idea Mark Hamill could do Luke's voice.

 

Yes maybe they could do a 3D Animated Show set after ROTJ after the Clone Wars 3D Animated Series is over.

 

With a CG SW show, there will be absolutely no limitations now!

I think he's just going to get it started but I also think he will be Executive Producer. Yes with a 3D Animated Star Wars TV Series there is no limitations.
