    The building looks great,(better than my buildings)is the firey light at the bottom supposed to be that way? Or is that how you have it.

    Looks great, although I'm not quite sure that I like all of the little dot lights on the buildings. And why is what looks like an office building sticking out of the intense orange glow?

    The glow is definitely too intense, especially since you're supposed to be at the bottom of Coruscant. The orange glow from AOTC is because of light pollution.

    "is because of light pollution"

    Really? I'm not sure ILM guys or Lucas thought about this when they added this light. They just thought: "Hey it would be cool with a glowing light at the bottom when obi wan falls". That's my opinion, and that may be what Bert thought

    I'm almost certain its light pollution. The buildings go down for miles, so it would make sense at a certain distance that all the light would look like that.

    It looks good, whatever it is, but if it was some kind of pollution that made the glow in Episode II, then it would make sense that it would look that way in an ealier Coruscant

    even better :) very cool. i like everything in the background.

    i would say that dulling the light might be better. but i dont really know until i have seen it. if i were you, i would try to dull it a little and at least see what it looks like...

    but if its what you want, then go for it.

    either way it looks great :)

    [image=http://membres.lycos.fr/ouatzefeuk/wip/bld02.jpg]

    I'm making new bluildings, because I need some, with a new design, since I've played KOTOR ;)
    This is the first one, and actually, it's not finished. I'll probably post them to scifi-3D if there are enough, or to bobabert so he can add them to his city if he wants to

    I like this one after all, so before starting a new one, I'll get this one bigger.
    I'm to lazy to creat my own thread, sorry.

    Nice, good texturing, much better than the ones on Scifi 3D,(No I'm not talking about yours). The only problem is that it take so long just to do one building and then you have to create like 20 others.

    Translation, a'la Matt-Man:

    Bobabert: Something about textures and 'large plates' [grosses plaques].

    In my un-professional opinion as a guy who barely passed french 2 in high school, I think he's talking about how the round panels of the buildings aren't made up of smaller panels, but rather, are just huge panels in themselves. I'm probably wrong though.

    No, I'm not making Taris building. Just making a new building whith idea I had when playing KOTOR (excellent game by the way). I liked those rounded tops. The building I'm making is supposed to be a a palace for a bad guy (or bad girl, I should say), you know, still the same movie project...

    here is is an update, getting bigger, but the lower part is still WIP, and more level will come after. I want it to have many shapes everywhere, so it gives a very complex structur, and I want it to look unfriendly. there are nice shpes, but all put together they give an ugly building

    One more update, but not the last.
    [image=http://membres.lycos.fr/ouatzefeuk/wip/bld07.jpg]

    Actually the palace is becoming a real fortress. I haven't done any concept drawing or anything. I just model stuffs as they come. And I'm mixing several kind of architecture. If I continue, it could become a huge pyramid. I'll stop when my computer crashes

    Wow, it does look like a bag guy's(or girl's) fortress. Good mapping, though I think it needs some stuff like platforms and lights, for highlighting.
