    I wasnt suggesting it would be ideal. Im guessing everything would get crushed and broken under a dune. But the difference between that and something exposed to the desert elements on the surface (that is otherwise not being maintained) is that in 200 years the thing covered by the dune will still be there (albeit in ruff shape), while the thing on the surface will be 100% gone from existence.

    I hear what you're saying. But the set is only made from chipboard, plaster and wire mesh. The dunes actually move and it is this movement that churns up and spits out anything in their path like the Repro Hadada set nearby. If the set was solid stone I could understand where you're coming from.

    And 1000's of years from now, the set will be excavated and there will be an article about this mysterious ancient village. They'll have no concept that it was a fake set made for some crazy movie.
