Phx Episode II ....Razzie?

Ok, in case you haven't heard Headline News just listed Episode II as being up in the running for a Worst Film of The Year Razzie . I think ol' George is getting a raw deal. There is NO WAY that film was worse than Maid in Manhatton !

 

Bourne Identity is up there with "$#it-full movie of the year."

Well, maybe good ol' George will finally get the hint. I mean, c'mon guys. Were we not rabid SW fans to begin with, we wouldn't have liked Episode II either. It's really NOT a good movie. We can all appreciate it on the larger scale of a larger story, but think about it... (I'm gonna get roasted for this, but oh well)

**The acting is terrible (because George won't let them act - everyone knows Ewan, Hayden and Natalie CAN act.)

**The dialogue makes you cringe - especially in all the scenes where Anakin and Padmé are together.

**The battle scenes are soulless - because George has the adolescent need to be the first to do everything "all digital."

**The editing blows - the movie is far too fast-paced because George is trying too hard to cram EVERYTHING into one movie. That, and he's just not a skilled screen-writer. The movie could've been done SO much better and still gotten the same points across.

**Jar-Jar Binks is *still* appearing.

But really, I think the razzie nomination is deserved. Besides, these awards are done in humor, not seriousness. And if you can't laugh at yourself sometimes, then maybe you need to step back for a while.

I hope Episode II wins.

Actually, I think that's fairly acurate. Sadly!

 

As I look at the OT, I can see that the PT does not live up to it. Taken on it's on accord AOTC, is not as bad to me. Trouble is that the OT set up such a high plateau that the PT will have a hard time even attempting to reach it. Here's hoping that EP3 knocks everyone's socks off.

And as for my own personal heresy: Nat can't act!! :-o <runs away before anyone can roast me alive>

 

Kreleia and I are totally on the same wavelength here, especially regarding the dialogue (I truly, deeply want to gag.), acting ? (I guess that's what they're doing.), and the editing (Just let me do it next time, ok George?)

I hope it wins, too. If you can't be good, you shouldn't be afraid to be really, really bad.

 

Natalie can't act... she says those "lines" like she would normally say them... her and her no-personality-no-emotion self...

 

I agree with you, Kristie. And MJ, too. I loved the movie because it was Star Wars. Unfortunately, it wasn't really all that great a film.

On a related note, I loved XXX, as well, even though it definitely wasn't a great movie.

 

I am truly, deeply sickened by you all!

Don't be sad, Feldman. We all still like it (even if it is bad), because it is still Star Wars. (I still love you, Obi Wan and R2D2! )

Besides, maybe Sy Snootles will be in EPIII.
