With the news of Yoda appearing in Rebels, Ezra is obviously the new hope and potential the other

Lucas went to some great pains of making Anakin/Luke the chosen one or ones, whatever that prophecy stuff was about. Yoda in ROTS claimed the prophecy mis-read(while Jinn is still so sure it was Anakin , with an unsure Yoda in ROTS, the CW Jinn chooses Yoda was to the next force Spirit chosen to take his place for whatever Jinn's purpose was to do this in the beginning as he never suspected the Sith's return it was a surprise along with finding Anakin - but whatever happens to Jinn is unclear by the OT). If he was toying with all the mispread prophecy stuff and TCW mentioned in particular to Yoda, another Skywalker at this point in time before ROTS it makes it more strange. If Ezra is another Skywalker it would interesting, Anakin's birth is still strange and Lucas was really making it up as he went along, either Palpatine was his father or Plagueis created him through his darkside powers ect. My line of thinking is that now there is avatars, representations of the lightside of the Force striking back in the forms of Ezra and Luke and probably a new character in the ST. Unless Ezra had a child and never became a true Jedi.

If this true than I would suspect that the darkside can do the same with the striking back. Sidious's Imperial order seems to have anticipated in the event Sidious dies his disciple children of the force to whom he enclaved and brainwashed would carry on his grand plan and possibly some form of resurrection of himself. Clones and and some elements of Plagueis including his darkside mad alchemist(all the midi-chlorian manipulation stuff) are still canon. Or alternately just carry on the Sith legacy, however with Vader and Sidious dead no more the Rule of two - that would be dead along with them. If the rumors are true and there is some new ancient Sith villain than likelihood of him either using the Imperial remnant or manipulating both the Imperials and Alliance forces much like Sidious had done with the CIS/Separatists and the Republic/Jedi is pretty high. Also the likelihood of a Hero turning to the darkside and some apprentice or major getting killed off in the 1st movie of the new trilogy.

Mark Hamill at Star Wars weekends did believe Lucas was making it up as he went along, and I've always personally believed this was the case.

 

Vorax I think you might be reading the Ep. VII rumor mill just a little too much because a lot of that stuff are things that would be bad fan fiction ideas let alone stuff that seasoned movie makers would create. In anycase can you please keep the Ep. VII rumor mill out of the tv section as some of us don't want to read that stuff (no matter how ridiculous or plausible it is).

 

Not really, the novel tarkin also speaks of darkside adepts and Rebels is introducing us to Sith abducted and trained Children of the Force and Inquisitor(s?). *CW also bright this up officially with Sidious himself personally recruiting cad Bane to adduct younglings so he can personally create his own darkside agents and alter their brains in infancy to serve him alone.

Plus Ancients like Mortis or Spirit of Bane was taking us to another and possibly Talzin herself as well.

 

Yes but I was mostly referring to your statement over the ancient sith thing (which you posted in another thread on here as well). A rumor that has mostly been created just because the guy in the trailer looks like Darth Revan from the EU.

Yes ROTJ made it very clear that Leia was the one they were talking about. Now it is possible there were more than one but Leia was the one Obi Wan and Yoda were referring to.

 

And the Hope was Luke.

 

Given how Disney is changing the canon; anything is possible now.

No, Ezra isn't the villain.

He would be roughly the same age as Luke.

 

I'm automatically dismissing any rumors revolving around that ten second clip of the bad guy from the trailer. The theories have just gotten too ridiculous and are based on virtually nothing at all.

About Ezra's age: The episodes about Empire Day reveal that Ezra was born on the same day Palpatine declared the formation of the Galactic Empire correct? Wasn't that the same day Luke and Leia were born? Or was there a passage of time in Ep III that I missed? Either way, they'd be almost exactly the same age....give or take a day or two...

 

Ezra is Luke Skywalker! Who is also Kylo Ren! Darth Vader probably got wind of there being some Force-sensitive individual on Tatooine, so Obi-Wan had Luke whisked away, and Yoda gave him the Darth Revan treatment to wipe away his memories and implant him with a new identity, and then they plopped him down on Lothal!

If Ezra turned out to be Kylo Ren, i would never stop praising this show, and it would explain why Yoda calls Luke the last jedi, without them having to kill Ezra.
Maybe Kanan dies and something happens to the rest of crew, which turns Ezra to the dark side
