FanFic Reviewers?

Just a question is there anybody out there who reviews fan fics? If the mods think this should be locked lock a way.

 

Nearly everyone does. If you post it, they will come.

 

Review in what way? Do you mean check it out for grammar and stuff before you post it or read it and give the ol' Siskel & Ebert?

 

Like Siskel and Ebert like having a thread where somebody post reviews on the fan fics on the different boards. Like he/she will read a fan fic in BTS, DTS, or ATS and write a review on it on the thread.

 

That's pretty much what we do now, sorta. There aren't any "bad" responses to fics because that's what pm'd constructive criticism is for.

 

O ok is there like a certain thread where to post the reviews or do ujust put them on the fan fics thread?

 

I just clicked on one of the links in your sig. You know how you replied to Palpy's first post of his adaptation of your script? If you're reading a fic and you want to tell the writer how much you liked it, etc, you do the same thing. Just click post reply and share the love.

If you've got anything critical to say, please pm the person privately and ask them if they would like to be critiqued first. Some writers do not appreciate constructive crit, and I don't know of anyone that wants it in their thread.

Readers just post comments in the story thread. However, there are people who review for Indices and post a short review in the Index. For example, the Jaina/Jag Index has a few reviewers who read J/J stories at readers requests and have a short, paragraph-length review on the story.

There is also a fan fiction newsletter that will hopefully be up again soon. It always has detailed reviews in it as well. I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread for now, but keep checking your stories for reviews! Write and they will read!
