JCC Favorite villains?

I just can't stand typos. In your case, it wasn't a typo. I'm not sure if that's even more lame... But I'm like a nazi with spelling and grammar, which pisses people off when I correct them. Especially because I'm an immigrant and my Norwegian is better than theirs, it pisses them off even more that they were corrected by a foreigner, which, I must admit, I take pleasure in knowing.

But anyway, as you were...

Call me biased, but I don't see HAL as a villain. He was just a victim of his programming.

 

How could I have possibly forgotten to add those three?

Henry Plainview isn't really a villain, though, he's a hero for being so truthful in his resentment towards people and his inner struggle to succeed until he can afford to be left alone. Being an alienated character myself, I found his words somewhat relatable (in my resentment towards Austrian only, I love every single one of you here). Thankfully I've made some new friends since those days and no longer have as strong of a resentment towards the general population.

Collateral's Vincent, again, a very interesting character, for the twisted psychological reasoning of his job. He's a lone wolf character, as made symbolically evident by that lone L.A. coyote running by the cab at one point.

Tom Noonan as Manhunter's Francis Dolarhyde, because of the silent sequence of him seeing "his woman" being brought home by someone else, and the torment that's going on in his face during, set to the powerfully 80's track "Strong As I Am" by the Prime Movers.

And since we're on the topic of Michael Mann villains with the latter two, we should not forgot one of his most prominent:

Neil McCauley from Heat
Because we get into a bit of his private life we want him to live, just like Al Pacino's character, but you know one has to kill the other eventually.
