Getting it to my computer question.

    Hi ive got a question. Ive got a Sony 3CCD DCR-TRV890E PAL camera, but when i use firewire to get the footage over to my PC the quality is pretty bad and that makes it hard to edit in lightsabers and such.

    So could some one tell me a good config for Adobe Premier so that the quality is better.

    Are you sure you are using Firewire and not USB?

    yes 100% :p (im not stupid :D)

    There´s lots of grain in the picture. Whats the best codec to use for editing? Not for the finished film just for editing.

    Keep it at its original quality for editing and just compress when you have the final product :). Also can you show a screenshot of your captured footage, it will be easier for us to help then :).
