"This is Spartan-117, can anyone hear me? Over."
Lord Hood stood on the bridge of the Cairo, everything around him in shambles�a massive battle taking place just outside the view ports.
"Isolate that signal!" He paused a moment as the AI isolated the Master Chief's signal. Had he not known the Chief so well, what was displayed would have surprised him. The Chief was aboard the largest ship in space. By appearance, it wasn't Covenant, but it sure was on their side. "Master Chief? You mind telling me what you're doing on that ship?"
Grinning under his helmet, John, better known as Master Chief, replied with the smug air all his own. "Sir, finishing this fight"
"Not alone you're not. That ship is blowing through our lines, I'll have re-enforcements meet you as soon as it lands."
"No offense sir, but I don't want a big force slowing me down."
Then I'll only send the best." Hood turned to one of the few remaining officers on the bridge, "Get me the remaining Spartans, and the best of the best marines."
"Yes, Sir." The officer replied, hurrying over to a communications station to send out the orders.
"Chief..." Hood continued.
"Sir..."
"Hold tight, Our best guys are on their way to help you..." he stopped for a moment, looking for the right words. "And brace yourself, I hear it's down right apocalyptic down their..." He paused again. If the reports he had received were true, what ever beasts the Covenant had brought down with them were wreaking havoc on the line men. These brutish monsters seemed to have taken the place of the Elites, and few Grunts were to be found. "Chief..." Hood continued "It's good to have you back."
"They're good as dead sir." John re-assured the Fleet Admiral.
"I hope you're right Chief..."

In the final battle for Earth, and all of human kind, what role will you play. Will you be one of the three remaining Spartan-II's, SPARTAN-043: William, SPARTAN-058: Linda, or SPARTAN-104: Fredric? Will you be one of Earth's best marines...a specialist in your field.
This isn't a battle the Chief can take on alone. Mankind's fate rests in your hands...what will you do...

I am hoping to have the remaining 3 Spartans, as well as at least 4 marines before beginning this RPG, and will allow others to join as we go along. For the sake of simplicity, I am not allowing any Covenant Player-Characters, and the stories surrounding the Arbitor, Johnson, Keyes, and Cortana will only be explored through GM Story Posts.

9.) I'm keeping this RPG pretty much Real Time...But, see 10

---Personal History:
Until the age of six, John lived in Elysium City, on the planet of Eridanus II. He was large for his age at the time, approximately a foot above his school peers - a sign of a "perfect genetic match" for a project dubbed "Spartan II".
At the age of six, John and quite a few other children his age were covertly captured from their houses, and replaced with Flash Clones.
Early on he seemed to be a leader among the Spartan children, and it was not long until he became the Spartan's squad leader.
After 6 years of training, the Spartan's underwent many proceedures making them stronger, faster, and more agile.

Before The Battle of Reach, he had fought in 207 ground engagements against the Covenant, and garnered every major service medal...except the Prisoner of War Medallion. He is one of the last 4 remaining Spartan-II's, and since the Battle, is responsible for the destruction of Alpha Halo. He helped fight off a ridiculously small but powerful Covenant attack on Earth, and later stowed away on a large Earth-bound Forerunner ship, on a mission to kill the last High Prophet, Truth.

---Personal History: He grew up in a high-middle class family. He never had to fight for things; he never needed to survive on his own. He was a bright child, and had high expectations. He was a promising recruit, able to do many things extremely well. He worked his way through the ranks quickly and now sits at the rank of commander. The small group made it back to Earth after several weeks of hard fighting and running. His achievements at Reach were noticed and he was promoted to the rank of Commander. He was reunited with the remains of his ODST Squad and now serves willingly and happily with them.

---Personal History:
Born in Côte d'Azur, before it's destruction, David Robert Quest spent many afternoons (ditching school) at the museum, studying the history of man and human warfare. Many of the skillful and wistful tactics Dave unveils were learned through this, and when he was a child it was always a dream to work for the military.

When he was fourteen, he began muscle training for the army, but was discouraged when his home was invaded, his father killed and his mother raped. He couldn't do anything, because he wasn't strong enough. However, he took a satisfactory swing or two at one of the stragglers of the group of thugs...with a metal pipe. To this day, he still notices how effective blunt weapons tend to be.

Biography

---Personal History: Born to an upper middle class family in S.F, Ayden was like any typical boy his age; he loved war movies, action figures, and computer games. He was graduating with high honors(from High school)when the war started, and he joined up while in College, about 1 year later, when he found out the war was going badly for the UNSC.

---Military History: After he joined up, it was quickly found he was excellent in the so to be called "black ops", insertion, assault, silent kill, etc. He was promoted to Major, and led his squad against many covenant bases, quickly freeing key personnel, sabotaging base generators and providing base coordinates for orbital assaults. As the war progressed, his squad was sent more and more into conventional battles, as the UNSC suffered more and more loses through the war. Shortly before Reach, his squad was silently assimilated by the 105th, who had suffered some major loses earlier on. His squad was on Reach during the attack, and quickly found his squad behind enemy lines, with little chance of retrieval. However, they continued on, hitting enemy supply convoys with guerrilla tactics, which they had specialized in. Later, his squad found a group of Spartans guarding a Key scientist of some sort, and he joined them, which compiled into his chance to escape. When his squad escaped Reach with the others, on Earth he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander, and re-joined the 105th. His squad also fought on Delta Halo with distinction

IC: ODST 105th
Aboard ONI Prowler Athens

Major Easley stood in the doorway of the long hallway housing multiple HEVs. The Athens, an ONI stealth ship under which he had taken direct command, had been retrofitted to accomidate for the 105th ODST Helljumpers it was carring.

Not two weeks prior, as the covenant attacked New Mombasa, he'd been put in charge of clearing the streets of the ridiculously small force, which he had only done with the help of Master Chief Petty Officer, Spartan-117. And now, he was preparing to do the exact same thing. But this time was different.

He had the 105th.

But, he wasn't sure they'd be enough. He looked on at them as the stood before him, each just outside their HEV Pod, armed and ready to jump right into battle.

But, this force was bigger. The Covenant hadn't come unprepared this time. They knew the humans were here...

And he didn't have the Chief. He had some underling...this...Spartan-043, but that didn't put Easley at rest. Sure, this thing had promise...but he'd seen the Chief in action. He hoped this Spartan was as good....

Their ship was flying under the radar, meant to reach Mombasa before the Covenant, and keep it secured. The Covenant wanted something there...and they were going to have to go through them to get it.

"Men, Women. I don't know what these Split-Lipped Son's expect to find down there...But it sure as hell isn't us." He paused...a bit for effect but mostly becuase he didn't have anything else to say. That was it...He'd never really been one for the motivational speeches.

Luckily, today wasn't the day for long speaches, for just as he was about to continue, the door behind him slid open with a neumatic hiss, and one of his communications officers burst through it, then whispered in his ear.

Unluckily for him, what he said wasn't good news.

With a grim face, Easley looked back to the men before him, and spoke in a hushed voice to the communications officer.

He cleared his throat, and continued.

"I've just received word that Old Mombasa has fallen...it's only a matter of time before they take New Mombasa as well." He paused and scanned the room again. He hated doing this..."And...I've just got word from up-high. Harper, Kurovich, Kindle, Quest, Ayden...The Master Chief's requested that you five and the Spartan be dropped at a location he's secured in Old Mombasa...We're diverting course and you'll drop in less than five minutes. The rest of you, we're continuing on, and will try to keep a secure location for the Master Chief to meet us in what's left of New Mombasa...Load up!"

Cheers and groans met his final remark, and he returned to the cockpit of the ship...hoping that the Chief knew what he was doing...

The two Spartans had just finished suiting up for battle when the news came through the lines. The Covenant hand landed in Old Mombasa.

But, ever cloud has a silver lining. The Chief was back and calling them in.

Silently, they boarded a large Albatross drop ship. It seemed huge compared to whahey were used to. And lonely. Just them and the Pilot...a Petty Officer Gabriel Mendoza. And, at her own request, the ONI AI Solipsil.

Of course, there were the Vechicles. Four vechicles in all, a majority of the room was taken up by the three Warthog's, two regular and one unarmed Troop Hauler [pictured, far right]. The only other vechicle in the ship was a small Mongoose ATV.

Their mission was simple. Drop in, find the Chief, Meet the 105th in New Mombasa.
