Wow... the definition of "assisted living" at this dump is to call 911 and do nothing when one of their elderly tenants actually needs assistance.

What a deathtrap.

The next time someone has a heart attack in this facility's dining room, they should drag themselves out onto the sidewalk where the odds of survival are better.

 

It's hard to hate a singular person. I mean, devoting the notion of "hate" to one person is giving that person too much of yourself. I find it's much easier and self-satisfying to hate large numbers of people.

I really genuinely do hate that Paris Hilton chick though...which is pathetic, since it serves no purpose, but I really do hate her. I can't help it.

 

So sad to think that, but they just might in the case of this facility.

I've worked in a couple of similar sounding independent faclities. Everybody from managment on down to the janitors had to be CPR certified before you were hired. Unless a resident's DNR order specified outright that CPR was not to be adminitered if they stopped breathing/heart stopped, then anybody who encountered an individual in that type of distress was required to BOTH call 911 AND administer CPR (if by yourself try get somebody in earshot/intercom/walkie to call 911 and then perform CPR).

And this was a nurse who was saying they couldn't give CPR. There should have been no excuse for that nurse not to administer CPR. I hope she loses her medical license and that facility loses it's operating license.

 

Nearly everybody hates Paris Hilton (me included. The entitlement off her just reeks). You are not alone.

 

I mean is paris Hilton a useless dumb airheaded woman of loose morals, (Mod edit) sure she is, someone like Rosie or Sarah Silverman or Sean Hannity are so much easier to hate than Paris Hilton.

Shes at least easy on the eyes and is to stupid to really hate.

 

No criminal charges for the nurse who refused to administer CPR to the dying assisted living resident nor for the facility that had that policy of no CPR in the first place.

I really really hope whatever nursing board California has takes her license.

 

The family of the woman who died is ok with it too.

 

IIRC, they apparently came out with that statement before the phonecall was released (I wouldn't recommend listening to that unless you want your blood pressure to skyrocket. I felt so sorry for that dispatcher trying to get the nurse to at least get somebody to administer CPR). I think they maybe rethinking that first statement, I don't know.

 

I don't want to hear that call for the reason you mentioned.

 

Believe me, I'm wishing I could forget hearing it.
