    Have to say Race for the Prize is my favourite;

    Having discovered it right after my Mercury Rev Deserter's Songs phase.

    Also, anyone who can cover Bohemian Rhapsody and out-camp Queen is all right by me;

    // glances up at my autographed Mercury Rev photo that's framed and sits to the right of my desk //

    Saw them on their Deserter's Songs tour back in, I dunno 1999 or 2000? Small venue (maybe 1000 people tops). Freaking amazing show. Gotta love a band who can work a theramin and a metal plate / saw thingie into a show...

    Wasn't as impressed with All Is Dream. Deserter's Songs just caught me at the right time and blew me away. I think it's the album I liked to drift away to akin to my parents generation and Pink Floyd*. Haven't bought any Rev since All Is Dream. Any recommendations?

    * And I like Floyd with the best of them, of course.

    I've only heard Deserters Songs and The Secret Migration. I only discovered them a couple of years ago, so I'm a fairly new fan. I love the two albums I've heard though. :)
