How many languages do you speak?

I am fluent in over 6 million forms of communication...

No, wait, it's not nearly that impressive.

I speak English rather well. I have a good vocabulary and all.

Y hablo español un poco.

(I hopes the grammar of that was okay. ) I took two years of highschool Spanish and got... rather bad grades in it. So I speak Spanish a little... a very little.

So, the number of languages would be maybe 1.25 or so.

So, what about you?

EDIT: And this was my 2,600th post. I hope to get to 3,000 here in the house, though that probably won't happen.

 

I speak English and Greek fluently.

And now I'm currently studying Japanes.

Grr. I figured you all had me beat.

 

Spanish was my first language. I speak English and some Italian. Also two of my friends and my grandfather have all taken to speaking to me in French for some reason so I'm starting to understand quite a bit, but there's no way on earth I can speak it.

I took six years of french. I know absolutely none. Although I'mpretty good at reading it, I can't speak it.

When I went to France I was laughed at constantly.

I guess when you live in Europe it's highly beneficial to be fluent in multiple languages.

i'm the same as Erik, although i only took two years of french so i'm sure i'm even more inept.

it's really cool that there are so many multi-lingual people in the house though.

 

I can remember bits from high school Italian, and I taught myself a bit of French. I'm also remarkably bad at Dutch although I only know a few phrases.

Apart from that, English and Bad English.

"Breng me naar mijn hotel". And you got the phonetics nearly right: "breng" instead of "reng".

Heh. I decided to change it because I knew I should've perfected that phrase before I used it.

 

I speak english kinda ok.

Understand and can read french, but can't speak it or write it that well.

Used to be able to swear in spanish when I was 14

 

Are you still learning lines from your Norwegian friend?

 

No, I haven't seen him for a while, so the internet is my training ground now! I've got a English -> Dutch dictionary bookmarked and if I don't know an individual word I'll look it up. Sentence structure is always a bit hard though.
