I'll just pop in and mention that I'd love to see a Boba Fett movie scored by Morricone.

    ...or Kenobi!

I'm a big fan of his Cinema Pardiso score.
I love Morricone as much as the next guy but I want him (and the Spaghetti Western style in general) as far from Star Wars as possible.

This thread is joyous. I expect Tarantino will dig into Morricone's collection for The Hateful Eight later this year.

I agree that a Kenobi movie would be great, with a Western style feel to it. Morricone would be a perfect fit. I believe he will be able to give the score a western vibe but have it still feel like Star Wars. I think that the spinoffs should try to put genre spins on Star Wars, reserving the "epic" element to the saga episodes.

I've grown to love Ennio Morricone's music even more recently.

    My favorites are:

Main The Good, The Bad and The Ugly theme.

As well as the The Trio theme.

Once Upon a Time in the West Harmonica theme

These are pretty typical when it comes to favorites but I still love them.

Although a lot of people associate Morricone with westerns, one of his greatest scores is to John Carpenter's 1982 classic The Thing, which is in my humble opinion one of the best horror movies ever made. Just listen to it, creeping dread and crawling terror abound!

This guy is the reason why John Williams isn’t my favorite living movie composer (my Holy Trinity being Barry/Goldsmith/Morricone).

It’s hard to pick a favorite soundtrack from him, but in the end, I’d have to go with this one:

    Some other favorites:

He was so good that his scores could even slightly elevate a truly terrible film (although even his awesome powers couldn’t salvage the disaster that was RED SONJA):

The greatest film composer of all time in my opinion.

Along with John Williams, this guy SLAYS. The Good The Bad and The Ugly is one of my all time favourites in grand parts thanks to his music.

So glad he finally won an Oscar for Best Original Score. He's a master and he deserves it.
