Recently made public, from the NASA Archives...

Nov. 12, 1976... NASA Archaeologist George Lucas, discovered a strange and alien object in a small crater in the middle of the California Central Valley. The contents of the object were covered with an alien text that he calls Aurebesh.

May 25, 1977... George Lucas completely deciphered the Aurebesh language. He called the contents of the alien object the "Journal of the Whills". Mr. Lucas explains that it is a history of events that take place in a galaxy far, far away. Mr. Lucas produced a translation of a portion of the Journal that is titled "A New Hope".

Feb. 12, 1978... NASA Archaeologist Alan Dean Foster produces a rough translation of the journal called "Splinter of the Minds Eye".

1979 to 1980... NASA Archaeologist Brian Daley translates a portion of the journal that concerned a notable smuggler named Han Solo and his companion Chewbacca.

May 21, 1980... NASA Archaeologists George Lucas, Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan translate a section of the journal called "The Empire Strikes Back" which seemed to contradict Foster's translation.

1983... NASA Archaeologist L. Neil Smith translates a section of the journal concerning a shady businessman named Lando Calrissian.

May 25, 1983... NASA Archaeologists George Lucas and Lawrence Kasdan produce a translation from the journal titled "Return of the Jedi".

June 1991 to May 1993... NASA Archaeologist Timothy Zahn produces a massive translation from the journal that cover events surrounding a notable figure named Thrawn.

1994... NASA for the first time gives the archaeology community full access to the Journal of the Whills. Multiple translations follow.

Oct. 30, 2012... a new Journal of the Whills is discovered in a crater in Anaheim, California by NASA archaeologist Walt Disney. Archaeologists begin translating the journal only to discover many contradictions with the journal that was first discovered by George Lucas in 1977. It appears that this new journal was written from a different point of view. A massive debate in the archaeological community ensues. Only 6 translations seem to be consistent in both Journals. Archaeologists call these 6 translations the Episodes.

2014... translations from the Disney Journal are published for the first time.

Sept. 2017... NASA decides to open the debate to the amateur archaeologists on TheForce.net.
