ST Is There Another Force Besides "The Force"?

Is it possible there is another power besides what we know as "The Force" operating in the GFFA going forward?

Might Snoke be tapped into an alternate power source, as it were?

Didn't view ANH in theater but did get to view ESB in theater in 1980. then ROTJ in 83, SE's in 97, TPM in 99, AotC in 02, RoS in 05.

Only seen TFA once so far on 12/18/2015.

I was asking the opening poster-- snarkily, I have to admit -- whether he had seen the movie. It's explained pretty well in the first two films.

 

There is just the force....it is a tool that certain species can access in Star Wars. It is not good or evil. Just like a farmer can use a shovel for good(digging a hole to plant a fruit tree) he can also use it for evil(bashing his neighbor over the head). The individual determines its use.

 

Magic exits in SW. But I think it's Force based.

 

No reason to complicate things. The force is THE mystical energy field. The thing Jedi/Buddhists tap into when they meditate. There's nothing else. It's the fundamental force of the GFFA.

Except, of course, for the electromagnetic, gravitational, strong nuclear and nuclear forces. Those are pretty fundamental too.

Well, there were stories in the old EU of the absence of the force having a profoundly draining affect. Pretty vague otherwise though.

Did some research on this. In Legends there was a man named Cronal a.k.a. Agent Blackhole. He believes in something called "The Dark". Not the Dark Side of the Force, just The Dark. But the article pointed out it's probably just a version of the Force.

Also in Legends there were some telepathic aliens whose telepathy was not Force based. Not sure if that's a "power" though.
