    People can't have standards?
I feel sorry for you inner city apartment dwellers stacked in high-rise prisons, but a big advantage of a House is the space and privacy.

There's an entitlement gulf between reasonable "standards" and "wanting to have no neighbors" unless you live in the ****ing boonies.

I don't like Rush and I didn't realize I was referencing one of their songs. :(

    Inner City snobbishness.

You'd think someone who works at the grocery store could pack groceries better. The frozen dinners were loaded on their side. Peanut butter could have fit nicely into a bag with paper towels and soap but wound up with the frozen dinners.

Yeah, it's so annoying to hear people complaining about a commute to work is less than 30 minutes. I mean, there are pizza places that promise delivery within that time.

My parents do not understand the logistics of academic conference travel. No, I don't want to pay for an airport shuttle when there are bus alternatives, yes I'm fine with sharing a hotel room with another grad student for five days to save on costs, no I'm not going to have time to check out [local landmark of choice].

The shortest commute I've ever had to work was an hour.

I reach out to slide my debit card. "Sir, you have to use the chip reader." I reach out to put my card in the chip reader. "Sir, the chip reader doesn't work, you need to slide your card." I am caught in an endless loop from which there is no escape.

Those ****ing chip readers. They take forever compared to swiping and it seems as though they're broken half the time.

I swear like every place I shop at has a chip reader that they immediately covered up with tape or otherwise said not to use. Great, glad we've all gotten this safer means of handling credit cards that no one is willing to accommodate.

Google drains the magic and mystery from life, part 1:

I'm standing next to a beautiful young woman on the train this morning. She has a tattoo on her shoulder partially obscured by her shirtsleeve. Two lines of text.

Line one: "If you never ********"
Line two: "Why would you cut the wings******"

My thought process goes like this: poetry or song lyric. Given her age, probably a song lyric. Given her age, probably nothing too obscure. Maybe something alternative-ish. Dammit. Brain's got nothing. Going to have to Google it.

They are making my job as a cashier worse, and the customers get easily frustrated with them. Speaking of my job, I need to leave it before I go back to school and my first world problem is knowing what date/day of the week to leave. I suppose a Friday (last day before the weekend) or Saturday (the end of a pay period) would be the best last day for the sake of the store. I just feel like really all my complaints about the job are first-world problems, but I definitely lost all enthusiasm for my job.
