January Stuff

Any ideas what we can do during this beautiful white month?

it's if an accident happens. I'm all for sledding and if people want to do something like that. I'll supply the donuts and hot chocolate. Don't worry this time it will be Stephens.

 

although I have many a horror stories about tubing... it's FUn

im in sunny South Carolina now!!! Is it all snowy? Ill be back on the 30th.

 

No snow really. It is raining though.

 

do we really want the snow? I mean can't we just have lots and lots of rain? I hate it when other people drive in the snow, they scare me.

I haven't gotten to try the snow this season yet.

 

I'm quasi-sure I can make an appearance. I love sledding. I can sympathize with the snow comment-people are really scary when there's white stuff on the ground. But it's the most wonderous thing to wake up and look out the window and see nothing. Life has that blanketed calmness and it really does seem like the world is sleeping.

 

Sledding is awesome. Nothing quite compares to traveling at high rates of speed towards impending doom without a means of braking or turning. (Insert appropriate Calvin and Hobbes cartoon here) However, I don't think that I'll be able to make it. The Beautiful One wouldn't be able to, and sometime in the next month or so we're going to have a little padawan joining our family, so you can understand my reluctance.

it's only fun when you hit the parking lot and it's iced over and go into on coming traffic, that's when it gets fun.

also, if you have children and you want to bring them sledding, please do. They deserve some fun right?

Also, what days are good for everyone and who has sleds that they can bring?

 

i'm free all days (except tuesday and wednesday nights) after five pm because of school. all of my sleds are in storage but it has been my experiance that anything slick will work so i'll bring the microwave oven door (true story!)...or stop by "toys 'r' them" on the way up :}

 

Where are we going to go? Is there a place up Parley's that is free to own?

I'm good any day your guys are. Should we plan for a week from Saturday? That makes it the 11th. Does that sound good?

Oh so we have to redo our entire schedules cause you aren't going to be here? I think later in the month we should have more snow anyway.

If we can't do sledding, how does everyone feel about ice skating? I know I know, I'm taking a big risk with it, what with all of my clutziness and all.

 

Ice skating sounds like fun to me. Maybe we can do both. At least I know that I'd like to do both. So would Becky.... I'm reading her mind right now and other than fantasies about Jonny Depp she can only think of sledding and ice skating.

 

Isn't it possible that you are just fantasizing about Johnny Depp yourself? Because I suck at ice-skating. I'm game though if that's what we decide to do.
