Let me introduce myself......

Hi,

I'm fairly new to this messageboard stuff but have posted a few time on this board & have liked the cut of your jibb

where do I begin ? well I'm not a Londoner - or even from the south I'm actually from "T'North" (but don't hold it against me [-o| ).

I'm mad about Star Wars (obviously) but not too many of my friends share my passion to the same level as me - the fools. I'm not too clued up on the EU as I couldn't really get into the books post ROTJ; Luke seemed to strike me as a bit of a wet-blanket (I await to be shot down in flames ) but I'm quite interested in finding some books Pre-TPM - when I have some time.

Speaking of time, I bet your wondering what I'm doing posting at 9pm on a Friday night on Pay Day instead of being in the pub !?!? Well I currently studying part-time at uni for my job so am presently panicing about assignment deadlines and writing/reading about Supply Chain Management, which is how I came across these board (long story, it's amazing where google sends you)

anyway better get back to it, thanks for reading & hopefully I'll posting on a regular basis so I'm sure I'll get to know you all in time.....

not been quite that far over, had a friend at Lancaster Uni a few years ago so had a couple of nights out there & as part of my job I get over to Settle, Ingleton etc a fair bit - I love the dales, though that's still a few miles away from you...

glad to have you, I am also mad about Star Wars, i went to CIII, but I have not read many of the books, read a few X-wing books, NJO (yes, Luke is a wet-blanket hippie). Some of the books on the clone wars are good, cant wait for the Palaptine back story to come out.

Have a look at our meet up thread, it would be good to have more SW meets and activities in the UK

Notherners are great, I'm one. I'm a Manc but live way down south in Brighton.

I'm a bit like you aswell, haven't really got into the whole EU side of SW. The only book I've read pre TPM is Shadow Hunter which I recommend.

Anyway, stick around. hold tight and enjoy the ride

 

Shadow Hunter was a great read. Got my copy signed by Ray.
