Amph Marvel's Luke Cage

yeah because Power Man and Iron Fist aren't totally linked.

 

Of course they are, but they're doing the series with only breadcrumbs and not the full-on team-up like they had.

 

There were rumors that Iron Fist was going to be replaced by a Punisher series and/or Iron Fist would be a 2 hour Netflix movie instead of a series. But, official comments from Marvel and Netflix all point to an Iron Fist series. I don't see Marvel cancelling an Iron Fist series because martial arts is a genre that the studio has not really covered yet.

Since there hasn't been any announcements on who will play Danny Rand and Luke Cage as been filming for sometime, it's unlikely that he'll appear in the Cage series. I say this because Marvel has been pretty forth coming on the characters that will appear in their series. When Jessica Jones was filming, they announced Luke Cage and with season 2 of Daredevil they announced Elektra and the Punisher. I suspect Iron Fist will probably be released in the spring of 2017.

I'm down for this show, especially as a fan of Daredevil and Jessica Jones. But, what is Luke's weakness? So far he comes across as the Superman who cannot fly. Kryptonite clearly isn't a part of this universe. So how can someone hurt Luke?

Well as per Jessica Jones a shotgun a point blank range will do some damage internally

 

I guess but the only reason he received the shot gun blast was the result of standing too close to Jessica while under the influence of mind control. Any other time we see him in combat he swats thugs like flies.
