London, ON May meetings

May 5th is comic book day.

We are going to meet on Sunday 6th & 13th in springbank park.

The big anniversary party on the 18th.

There's a BBQ at Brandons on the 13th after the park trip.

 

In costume? With lightsabers?

 

funny eh! It's good if they bring thier own to because the trooper has to bring 3 sabers and doesn't even use one.

 

Well, I have several plastic ones that make noise, but no fancy one like the others, nor can I afford one right now. I also have a bambo shinai I can bring.

 

We found how bad those plastic ones were. 2,3 hits and the end came out.

 

hehehe all I have to do is swing the Darth Maul light saber and both ends fly off...

 

yeah, I have about a dozen of those and there not much anything.

 

well I'm going to double check with my folks about the bbq but I don't see anything that would make the oppose to it.

 

okay my folks are okay with a bbq at my place on the 13th after we go the park. I'll need a list of people that will be able to come that day. I'm going to be inviting down people who will be assisting in the event, such as Terry, Rus and Pat.

 

I'm available. I'll bring my own burgers though.

 

yeah it's a BYOB gathering. Incase what you're wondering what i mean by BYOB it stands for Bring Your Own Beef.

Let me get this straight BYOB means bring your own beef. Well then, I guess that means you've got the beer!

Technically, as an official meeting/event, I don't think we would be allowed to have alcohol... especially as there are minors present.

 

That wasn't in the rules.
The rules state what you can not say on the site.

Any how, we have to bring our own beef & broccoli and I don't think anyone real needs to drink beer unless we get a babysitter for the kids. Then we can brake out the brandy
So lets recap this you've got the buns, bread, butter, beans, beets, bacon or back bacon, bison or buffalo?

Now what about the the band? Also don't forget the bandaids or a Babbitt for when someone gets hurt in a saber fight.

This sounds like a blast you're doing a bang up job. We are sure to have a ball! But don't make this BBQ into a banquet.

Don't forget the bug spray!

 

well don't forget guys that the BBQ is over at my place after the park walk around. Unless we're not doing the park and we're just going straight to the BBQ.

May 5, Comic Book Day. Anyone available that day? I managed to get it off work.

 

I'm doing that myself. I'm getting up early so i can get to the shops get my comics and get my comic pass stamped out.
