    As reported from Dark Horizons:

The Real Cancun: The MPAA has rated the Spring Break movie 'R' for "Strong Sexuality, Nudity, Language & Partying".

Hmmm, do we need a rating for our Medieval Times event this weekend in case Brian breaks out the fishnets again? "Some scenes not intended for all ages."

    Alright Brian!

No fishnets this weekend....I don't want my kid to be "Obi" Scarred. She is my Star
Wars watchin partner and don't need the "Why is Obi-Wan not wearing panty hose in the
    movie daddie??"

    [face_laugh]

Partying has kind of received a new definition in our culture, so I can kind of understand why a group of 12 people or so who were on the ratings board decided to lump up all the excessive drinking, more than likley some drug use, groin-grinding dancing, throwing your clothes off type thing into one word - partying.

I was wondering if somebody else was going to pick up on that.

These kids today with the clothes and the hair...

    Damn whipper-snappers.

Back in my day, we used to wait in line to play Space Invaders, .... AND WE LIKED IT.

I meant likely not likley - what the heck is that? And the only reason I'm correcting it here is because I didn't realize it until several hours later.

If anyone knows what likley means, let me know - may be some subconscious thing trying to break out. :)

Yeah, I firmly believe everyone is obsessive-compulsive about at least one thing - and spelling is mine. Now that I have firmly established myself as a geek, I'll go hide under my rock, lol.

I'm not even gonna try to post/create a definition for "likley"... Brian would undoubtably ban me afterwards.

Just sound it out by the syllable and use it in sentences that start with "She was very..."

    /gutter off

"Back in my day, we used to wait in line to play Space Invaders, .... AND WE LIKED IT."

Now, I can just play it, in full color, on my cell phone.

It's insanity, INSANITY I tell you!

Perhaps we should wait in line to use your cell phone - at least get the people who don't have Space Invaders on their cell phones to wait in line. That would be interesting - at least 6 o'clock news material.

So, I previewed "The Real Cancun" and this is relates to it's R rating:

The "Strong Sexuality" under the explanation for an R rating is actually, for once not overkill - it's underkill. I honestly have no idea how, showing *real* people having sex cannot get you a NC-17 rating, but then you have movies which are fictional that fight to get a R rating.

To be fair, these people have sex under the blankets - any nudity is blocked out, but hello - these are real people. The fact that you are showing actual people and not people playing a certain character having sex and get only get a R rating shows you how powerful MTV and the company that owns them has become.
