"Does he want a laptop or a desktop?"

 

"He says anything, all he needs is access to a computer with internet for a few hours."

 

"Tell him to meet me at Best Buy in 20 minutes. Tell him I'd like him to be Chief Information Officer and I.T. Guru for The Nexus Group."

 

"We'll be there."

 

I go to Best Buy, and buy him the notebook computer of his choice, telling him to get the best that he can, will full wireless capabilities, all upgrades, etc. I then tell him (and his brother if he's there) to crash at my place for the night to use my internet to make all this happen.

Then I ask them some basic questions, becuase at this point I don't want to assume anything with them.

1. Are they wanted by the law for anything?
2. Do they have outstanding debts anywhere?
3. Do they have valid ID and driver's licenses?
4. Do they have their own transporation?
5. Do they have a mailing address, or permanent phone number?

I tell them to be honest, I will help them fix everything, so don't leave anything out, even if I didn't specifially ask about it.

 

1. Are they wanted by the law for anything?

"Not that we are aware of. We had to leave our apartment in case anyone figured out that Bill was a mutant after that display of powers at the MZI building."

2. Do they have outstanding debts anywhere?

"Again, not that we're aware of. David takes care of the financial situation, so things should be all taken care of."

3. Do they have valid ID and driver's licenses?

"We have valid driver's licenses."

4. Do they have their own transporation?

"Well, I can fly!" Bill says.

"No, we don't have any transportation, but we can walk or take taxis."

5. Do they have a mailing address, or permanent phone number?

"We have cell phones... that's it."

 

okay, get your computer, then lets go to get The Nexus Group our first vehicle, which I will entrust to you guys to hang on to. Deal?

 

They both say "Sure!" (one out loud, one in your head).

David and Bill pick out the computer they want.

 

ok, then we go to a Chevy Dealer, and I give them a choice of a cargo van, or the extended Suburban. I tell the Montagues that we may haul stuff around, including ouselves, we could outfit it with computer stuff, whatever. Plus they could use it to haul around their camera equiment to different shoots that they do. And if they are ever desperate, they could even sleep in it.


So, which do they want?

 

Bill says, "The Suburban looks better. Plus it has alot more seats for everyone."

David says, "We should go with the cargo van. It's more versitile and and we can outfit it with more."

Bill asks, "What do you think, Kurt?"

 

Charm: Charm just stares at Shadow wondering why he isnt saying anything and imagining telekinetically moving the drink in his stomach into his lungs. Or maybe severing his spinal column, Or just crushing his skeleton and nothing else into a fine powder. Or slowly burst a series of his smaller viens. Charm smiles to herself and drinks her vanilla shake.

"I'd have to say the villain, because if there was nothing to save, or nothing to fight there'd be no reason for a hero."

 

I think you should get the van. It actually can seat up to 15 with its seats, but if you pull out the seats, and put in a bench on each side, it could seat a lot and still allow for equipment, possessions, etc.

We will get the 300 horsepower one.

 

Charm to Shadow Well thats an age old debate. Perhaps we just dont hear about villians in other cities. I know I tend to watch just local news. So is this why you invited me here? For chicken and the egg debates?" I smile. Charisma 9+4=13 grrrrr

 

then, we go back to my place so they can set up the internet stuff for me.


Once they are done, they can crash there, or drive back to their room.


Next day, i want to speed to that lawyers office, and present the Prospectus for The Nexus Group.

 

"no that's not why I asked you here at all. I just merely wanted to get to know you better. I mean after all if we're going to be a team we're going to need to be able to trust each other, and I believe that requires getting to know one another."

 

OOG: I'm gonna let Protoss roll his computer use to make the website, but we can continue.

They decide to stay because "There is a large hole in our bathroom wall."

 

Before I leave the next day, I tell them, "Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use your powers in my apartment. At least the powers that could potentially destroy something, or punch holes through walls. I don't even know if that's how you got that hole in your bathroom, but regardless, please take heed. There's food in the fridge, make yourselves at home, but don't poke through my stuff, and don't go in my bedroom. Thanks, be back soon."
