NJO RR Planning Thread! The romantic team of Mely, Luney, Em, and Am

Well, it's finally happened! *waves* Hi, guys. Here goes!

So far, the plot stands thus: A grown-up Ben Skywalker meets and falls in love with the woman who should be his worst enemy: Kyp Durron's daughter.

Um, that's basically all we have, isn't it?

As for mushy scenes, it goes as follows:

First meeting: Am
Almost-kiss: Em
First kiss: Luney
Proposal: Mely

Outside of mushy scenes, we only have one:

The confrontation between Luke and Kyp when they found out what their children are doing: Em

Beyond that, who knows! That's what the thread is for! (And AIM, of course . . .)

Okay the basic plot is that after the Vong wars the Jedi split into two factions, Kyp Durron's and Luke Skywalker's. Over the years the orders drift apart, and have very little contact... until Kyp's daughter accidently runs into Lukie's son...

 

Kyp's daughters name is: Aleiana or for short, Ally.

Since Aleiana's mother died, Alaera, she's very protective of her memory. In a series of mis-haps, Ben brings this up and Ally either gets angry at him, or just plain depressed. I've claimed that part.

Um, someone did keep track of our little chat last night, right? We didn't just lose those scenes? Because as you all know, you can't expect me to do anything responsible (like keep track of planned scenes) that late at night, er, early in the morning . . .

 

Make that one more interested party.

 

Hey guys, before we actually start writing, we need to decide who's in the story. There are so many characters (Jedi, pilots, politicians) who could potentially be characters, and I think we should talk about them on AIM soon. After all, this is twenty years in the future, so we need to make sure we agree about what has changed and what hasn't, character-wise.

*sigh* I'm soooo bossy . . .

 

Well, I never saved the conversation. I remember only a few scenes. About characters, we know that we'll be having the original crew, minus Anakin, who died in SbS. Then we have Ben Skywalker and Aleiana Durron. My question is -- have we decided that the Mara and Luke had another child? If so, name, gender?

We have a fan base already, something special!

We half-jokingly talked about having a little (young teens) sister (whom we also half-jokingly called Amidala) who could be having a sweet little first crush romance going on underneath. Mely thought it was a cute idea, but we never agreed on it one way or the other.
