Tucson October 1st meeting

This is a question.. we have our meeting planned for Oct 1 noon-2pm at bookman's grant and campbell....

One of our members DialSwiftJustice's family is having a chili cookoff that day..and has offered to have us conduct our meeting while enjoying the chili cookoff.. we know this is short notice.. so if you are not up for it.. by all means say so.. but Bookman's is fine if we do want to cancel our meeting for the 1st. I just thought I should give everyone the opportunity to enjoy a chili cookoff if they are into the notion. It would consist of either just showing up and eating chili and enjoying ourselves.. or you could choose to take a more active role and bring a chili you have created if you want to participate.. no restrictions other than your own crock pot.. big or small.. and then everyone samples and judges select winners and give certificate and prizes!! Also.. a chance the FF might get picked as judges as we are unbiased participants.


This is the address.. 12975 N. Suizo Mountains Rd, Marana,Az 85653, and DSJ is going to mapquest it for us if need be. Just let us know if your up for it.. by all means we could carpool if need be.. I can carry two to three extra souls in my car. I just thought this might be fun and DSJ was very generous to offer up the idea.

I have no problem in showing up, but my gringo tastebuds are questioning the wisdom of me sampling a lot of chili.

I think either of us can do it.. we will just let them know we had a change of plans for oct.

let's go ahead and schedule a nov meeting asap... it is booking up quickly.. unless we want to go with another spot to hold it for november.. if we use someone's home we don't have to worry about a date yet.. otherwise we have to start booking our meetings way farther in advance.. as bookman's is filling up much quicker now.. than it did in the summer.

Wow, frankie, thats very cool of you, but there will be other meetings and probably one ebfore halloween (maybe a final assempbly party), dont make any sacrifices you dont have to! But hey if thats what you want we are glad to have you!

sorry for the absence today.. I was just really wasted from work last night and this morning.. I am off to work again now.. I promise to catch up to everyone on friday.. and if you need me... remember.. hit all available avenues.. email first.. here on the site second (cept for today as no one could have reached me even if my house had been on fire) and then house phone and then cell phone last.. my cell was in the car since saturday and I only just got it today and looked at my 12 messages..

in any case I will have more to report on costumes tomorrow.. and I will remember to bring my chili in my own crock pot.. with my name on the bottom
