Spring, MO October...

It is that time again! Our Halloween parties tend to be big and loud! I have hosted it for the last two years, and am very willing to do so again, unless someone else is just dying to do so!

Post your suggestions, ideas and wishes. Let's make this year one to remember!









(oh, and don't forget your costumes either. )

 

Oh, yeah! Halloween is the best party of the year! I'll be there! (Wherever it is)

I think my can can dress is the only costume I own. I'll have to sew it up since the seam split along my zipper in the back when I bent over. (It's a little tight...but that's okay, I don't need to breath that much. )

Are we doing a camping trip in October too?

 

I joined a few days too late to attend last years party but hope to make this year's.

 

I love, love, love Halloween! I missed last year's party to attend a kid's party, but this year I hope to be there.

I suggest a spooky,creepy dish/appetizer pot luck.
There are so many cute, fun, easy and cheap ideas for food for Halloween. And those who can't cook or don't want to could bring, cups, ice, soda, plates, napkins, etc.

We could also do an alcoholic punch and nonalcoholic punch.

I would be more than happy to keep track of who is bringing what.

Oh and camping in October would be great and maybe a group trip to a pumpkin patch and then pumpkin carving party???

And we could have a carved pumpkin contest at the Halloween party with a traveling trophy? I would be more than happy to supply the trophy.

Can you tell I love Halloween? LOL!

 

I'm there! I vote for Christina's again Don't know if I can do camping this year, I work every weekend in October, but maybe I can stop by and say hello.

Maybe do the party on 10/28? Right before Halloween this year.

 

10/28 sounds good! And a potluck is good. I don't know I have time for all those things Leash...

 

I get all excited this time of year. I am like a small child. LOL! Our family always does the pumpkin farm and then we carve sometimes the same night, sometimes another night. Depending on how close it is to Halloween. We also roast the pumpkin seeds that night.
There was a really cool pumpkin patch down by Robertsville where we love to camp in the fall, but it closed. They had Dia de los Muertos scenarios everywhere. Oh well!

Anyone interested in a pumpkin carving contest? You supply the pumpkin and I will supply the paper, space and cookie sheets to bake the seeds when you are done. We could have a vote on the best one...

Bowing out of the pumpkins, the smell makes me really sick. I could judge though.

 

I am definately gonna try to make this years party, I missed last years cause I had to work. I already got a costume too. lol. I can be a pumpkin carving judge too, if you guys need a panel for that.

 

Okay, so it's October now and Christina and I are planning the Halloween party. So, we would like to get a head count. If you are unsure if you or going to make it or not, just let us know you are a maybe.

I am thinking we could do potluck. Say two main hot dishes, veggies, bread and dessert? I am thinking of making some posole and cornbread, but someone else could bring something more mainstream... any suggestions?

It is getting closer! With Steve going out of town next weekend, I am going to enlist help and rearrange the house in preparation of the party.
