***OFFICIAL Kill Phil Trilogy Thread*** (KILL PHIL VOL. 1 FOR DOWNLOAD)

I've decided to make an official thread seen as I'm a pain in the ass for making new ones.

Here's Kill Phil Vol. 1:

Kill Phil Vol. 2 will be finished in October. Filming the ice rink, dojo and graveyard scenes over the next week or so.

Kill Phil Vol. 3 will take a very long time, have no idea about this one. Seen as I need my entire family for a flashback scene.

Watch Vol. 1 and leave some feedback, would be much appreciated. I'm looking for comments on anything and everything so I can make following fims better. I tried to experiment a lot with lighting(most of which failed miserably), effects, camera angles, sound and editing. So take a look

I'll post some pics of Vol. 1 soon.

Just finished downloading. Opinion to follow.

Well that was interesting. You've actually got something resembling a style going. Aside from opening, this had little to do with Kill Bill. You should have done something a little more original. You seem like you've got some raw talent.

The music was a little spotty. I heard a little Alan Silvestri in there that was kinda cool, but the Horner at the end seemed really out of place.

If it had been a drill bit, would he have been bored to death?

Not bad. I'l watch the other two.

Well, that didn't deserve two threads, but it was not too bad.

The openning was alright at times, but that long pan was awful. I am guessing it was a crappy tripod, but you can do that shot better handheld. Also, the door you unlocked was not the door you entered, kinda distracting.

The film itself didn't have that same feel as Kill Bill, the gore and fighting came across more morbid than humorous. Also, you should have put a screw on the screw gun or something.

Anyways, there were some interesting angles and it was edited nicely to the music, although I didn't like the tracks. If you are going to do a project like this and market it here like you anyways do, at least polish it more. It just didn't feel complete, with missing sound FX, etc. Good luck with the other installments.

 

lol, dunno where you got the idea about it being a different door. Its all real man. Vol. 2 will rip this one apart though, especially seen as I've managed to get hold of a dojo for a week. Its no Matrix dojo, its a simple little place but the lighting is good there and weapons like running water there. Should be good. Also, I'm not aiming for this to be like Kill Bill essentially, though it will have some elements in it. Hopefully, if all three parts are short enough I'll reedit the whole thing to make it better cos I'm sure Vol. 1 could be better just by different editing.
Finally, that opening shot was supposed to be a bit jerky

Well, it was black on the outside and white on the inside. The dead bolt was missing on the inside and there was a hole in its place. And, when the second guy arrived I didn't see that hole.

And, you might as well admit that pan was a result of poor camera work, because it is worse if you did that on purpose.

 

Wow, your right, all the outside shots, you can't see the hole, but it is there lol. When it cuts to the inside when the guy opens it you can see his hand by the hole, thats just continuity.

 

Yeah, I don't mean to make a big deal of it. Just stating my case

Of Vol 1? Why?

 

Personally, I think that before making volumes 2 and 3, you should remake volume 1 with the points we made in the thread taken to heart. It would give the series a much better footing to start off from. It's short enough so that that wouldn't be too big of an undertaking, and it would be worth the effort.

 

then I'd have to find a new actor. And I don't wanna say to the guy in Vol. 1, "sorry but it wasn't good enough so I'm getting someone else."
Though maybe in the future I might if I can get the guy again, but this would take about six months. You are right though, it would be worth the ffort, but the two nights we had were one in a millon. I had the house to myself for the first time ever etc.
