JCC [Official] Vodka Thread

That all sounds so amazing! But it makes me sad because it isn't available for purchase here in Hawaii.

Evil.

 

I am currently sipping a peppermint chocolate vodka. I think this is heaven on earth.

The cake vodka has arrived! Will have to wait until tomorrow to have some, though (as I've got a mini cold going on..........had some whipped cream vodka last night during a Laker preseason game, and really couldn't taste it well). I can't thank you enough, Dajuan. And the Wampa? A wonderful surprise.

I'm glad you like both The cake vodka is best in small doses, IMO. The wampa served as a little surprise and a great cushion for the bottle.

Obi Anne, I'll make sure to bring some with me in case we can't find any in Orlando.

 

I've had 3 shots so far over the past couple of days, and man, what a great/smooth tasting vodka. Can't wait to make a mixed drink with it.

I had some Polska wodka. Did not need cake flavoring, 'cause it tasted plenty sweet already. That is all.

 

Never really understood the point of flavored vodkas. One of the selling points of vodka is that its, well, flavorless.

 

The point, as I see it for the DLB, is smoothness. Most flavored vodkas taste smooth, especially when mixed with another drink of that nature (juice or vanilla coke). Yeah, some vodkas are smooth without flavor (Grey Goose , my absolute favorite brand of vodka), but it's nice to drink some with that added kick.

Frieda, just ran out of rum to go with my eggnog. But have cake vodka... Hmmmmm.

 

I had vodka + cranberry juice for the 1st time ever last night at family gathering...........it was rather delicious.

If you haven't tried it, give the Svedka brand vodkas a try. I used to always use Absolut Citron, but Svedka is IMHO smoother and tastes better... and it is about half the price. Perfect for drinks at various conventions.

 

I finally tried Grey Goose the other day. I couldn't tell much difference between it and a super cheap bottle of Vodka. Thank goodness I didn't blow $35 on an entire bottle.

 

I'm all for cheap booze, but in my humble opinion, Grey Goose (after being in a freezer for at least an hour) is the smoothest tasking non-flavored vodka out there.

That does sound amazing. As well as that cake flavored thing. I gotta see I can find stuff like that down my neck of the woods.

 

Woo hoo we're cheap dates! Hearing you say that makes me feel better and slightly more justified for being a cheap-o.

 

I found and tried carmel Vodka a couple days ago. Maybe my mixer was wrong (tonic water which goes great with all my cake and whipped varieties) but It's hard to really describe the taste but it was gross.

 

I finished the Cake vodka a few days ago. It was so, so very good. That & Grey Goose are the only 2 vodkas (so far) that I can drink straight up (anything else I mix). And as far as the mixing goes with the Cake vodka, I tried/used my 2 mixes: Vanilla coke & cranberry juice. Both tasted good, but the mix with cranberry juice was more preferable.

I must say that cherry vodka goes down a little too smooth.
