OOC Out of Bounds (The ELL OOC Thread)

How fortunate ( ) given the discussion that was going on in the Mercs office when Taab interrupted. There may be a bit of help for any of you all that are in need of a forward, though I will require due compensation.

 

Really, was me knocking Yan'ii out for the first half of the season with an injury so awesome that everybody has to copy me?

And Taab is just going to ignore the suspension and show up as usual. I figured as much. Can't wait to see where that goes.

 

What can we say? Where you lead, we follow. I have my own injury news planned for later in the season.

There really was nothing else Taab could do in character. Stay tuned for further developments on my totally unintentional attempts to break the game.

Sure. Because given the events of the last 24 hours, Yan'ii was my inspiration for that happening to a character named Aron Rodders.

 

Honestly, I am trying to get away from Taab and my game breaking ways. Hopefully I will be able to do so once this is all.....resolved. I feel poor Jacen Hunter has been neglected as a character thus far.

 

Oh, and I have more "injuries" planned for this season as well. Stay tuned...

Yeah well Commissioner Goodell Kayl'hen is changing the way the game is being played. I'll leave it up to the individual franchises to determine if it is for better or for worse.

 

So, on another note, my muse seems to have gone into hibernation, so I'm going to try something odd to wake it up. I'm going to my high school alma mater's powder puff football game tonight. I'm hoping that watching teenage girls playing flag football while teenage boys act as cheerleaders will jump-start my next post.

I seem to recall that you knocked Jerek Deter out in Week 1.

I spent too much time laughing at the boys to get much inspiration from the game (the boys were really good, having practiced for two weeks, and not afraid to make fools out of themselves, but the juniors lost points for having a vuvuzela), but the game-winning 100-yard pick-six (actually a pick-seven according to the rules of the game) in sudden-death overtime does give me an idea. The problem is that idea requires me to win a game by three or fewer points before I can use it, so it's not much use at the moment.

Actually, on second thought, maybe that vuvuzela contains an idea that I can use now....

 

Hitting someone over the head with it?

Nah, I'm thinking a few points higher on the evil-o-meter. Or maybe the annoy-o-meter. Or both.

 

That's it, I'm totally going to have my fans bring their kazoos to the ballpark on gameday and play throughout the game. Because that's less annoying, right?

 

I literally laughed out loud when I read the end of Vehn 's latest post. The meta-ness is mindblowing.

 

In all seriousness (or as close to serious as we can be in this game) though does the ELL have a broadcasting blackout policy??

 

That hasn't been discussed yet. Thoughts anyone?

 

I would think there would be something like that. In down years, I, much like my Miami Dolphins franchise, assumed the Smugglers owner bought out any seats that were unsold so as to prevent a blackout.

 

I would also think that any blackouts would carry an even bigger stigma than they do in say the NFL, since teams from the ELL can be demoted to the PLL and another team rise and take their place. Being a team that can't sell out their home games would be one not worthy of staying in the Elite League.

 

Unless they can be the Cleveland Browns and sell out all home games even if their team doesn't win very much.

 

In which case they don't have to worry about blackouts.
