OOC Out of Bounds (The ELL OOC Thread)

Speaking of how Limmie seems to percolate into everyday life . . .

I was playing 'Jargon' this afternoon (basically a Scrabble-like board game, just that any word, name, proper noun, or abbreviation is allowed), and I had some Limmie inspiration in my tiles. One turn, I easily could have spelled Viszla, which would have earned me 30 points, but my fellow player would've gone , and I would have needed to give a lot of explanation on that one so that it would make sense to them. So what happens after I play my word? I draw new tiles, and as I randomly place the new tiles down in my row to use for later, here I've spelled out "Kasin". Rebecca_Daniels

I think I have a little too much Limmie on the brain.

 

And after THAT shocking twist from Vehn, most of us can only wonder just what Kelly truly is.

Except for me, who's busy thinking that I should have waited until tomorrow to post the start of my Jado rescue.

 

I like number 39 as it reminds me of Larry Csonka, fullback for the '72 Dolphins, and since football season is right around the corner, I had just had to talk about this and our undefeated season once upon a time. Now, if only the Smugglers could do the same thing.....

 

For all of us, that undefeated season is just going to have to be one offseason away this time...

 

As soon as I started thinking about the Mercs going undefeated this season they lost three in a row...and maybe more.

 

Didn't you try to throw your Galactic Cup season somehow? Maybe there's a lesson in all this...

 

Hey, I lost that time! I didn't win the Cup until the time after I tried throwing the season.

 

I call that thinking ahead.

Quite a ride jcgoble3! Though I'm sad to see that you might not be as active in the game moving forward, the ride has been great!

In other news (no pun intended), if you didn't see the headlines below today's scores, you probably looked at the scores before I thought to put them in. This is the first week where I believe we've had teams qualify for the playoffs and it looks like both conferences are still wide open in different ways. The Solo Conference has just one slot available, but four teams could seize it. Meanwhile, it looks like the entire Skywalker Conference is still in contention. To top it all off, an NPC team has already been eliminated. Hooray!

Oh, and does anyone remember if I set a trade deadline for this season? I feel like if I had it probably would have passed by week 9, right?

 

All I can say about this week's game is "Meh".

See that right there blows any story arc I've ever done out of the water. I do put little notes to myself but that just gets the biggest round of applause I can give you from behind my laptop jcgoble3!! Great write up all the way through.

By the way its looking like the Hapes C-Bucs are pretty darn dangerous this season! Watch out folks!!
